Finally some proper use for the Bodacious. Cutting down a trampoline net and some plastic jugs.

A Lil Native 15V, used to cut round ball patches at the muzzle of a smoothbore.
Oldest: 1974 Buck 110.
Newest: Native 5, G10, CPM 15V
Knives owned: Too many, yet always finding another.
Added a ceramic mug, "The Edge is a Ghost". Great mug!

Wow! That is quite the manix! How did you add those serrations?

Nice! Spyderco does great serrations but I would prefer the large scallops only like you did here. no baby scallops. Awesome!PeaceInOurTime wrote: ↑Mon Apr 06, 2026 4:53 amThanks!
I used a dremel with barrel sander to grind the serrations, dremel with cutting disk to cut the "wave", and a bench grinder to shape the blade.

I think I agree. Having used a few of my self- applied-serrated knives for a while now, I can say these larger scallops are easier to use and maintain, IME.RyanY wrote: ↑Tue Apr 07, 2026 1:34 pmNice! I'm sure the smaller scallops are preferable in some cases, but I can't think of a time when I've noticed them being better, or missed them on my modded knives.
Re: What did you use your Spyderco for last?
those look like larger versions of the Victorinox serrations. While I'm not huge on SE these days I have to admit the Victorinox style SE blades I own barely snag at all.

I opened a new bag of dog food this morning. I had to use the Maxamet blade, of course.
