I agree. I’ve come to appreciate knives which not only cut extremely well but almost disappear until you need them. The Charisma must be up there with the very best edge/weight ratio folding knives of all time.
The Alox Solo (or whatever it called now) is a great knife that gets so much right, it’s a shame it’s let down by Victorinox’s woefully soft steel.
I took mine out of rotation because the constant edge loss became frustrating. I guess that’s the problem with an abundance of amazingly capable modern steels we have available now, it’s difficult to go back to barely functional ones.

This is the bucket I'm in. In photos I've seen, the Charisma looks unimpressive - inexpensive and plasticky. Would prefer no (or smaller) opening hole on a blade this size. I say they don''t appreciate the design which is : big handle / strong enough / plenty light (only gives the impression of plasticy because of the way the hollow handle sounds while handling it . I LOVE THAT KNIFE !

I really like this knife, thin blade and relatively affordable.
That handle is off putting though. I haven’t found a knife I’ve liked with hollow plastic handles before.

Buddy, this in Magnamax, or even Magnacut would be the bees knees, especially in stonewash! I cry when I scratch satin. I'm guessing with the hole taking so much real estate, we'd be looking at premium steels that lean toward "tough" rather than "hard." Can you imagine that knife in Maxamet or Rex121?

Native 5 in FRN or Sage 5 are superb in FRN. I don’t tend to like FRN either but it can be done right

To me the Charisma is Spyderco's take on a Texas Toothpick. I think it would work well in a suit jacket or vest inner breast pocket, and maybe even, being so light, in a shirt pocket.
The side view kind of reminds me of older Al Mar designs, like the Hawk.
It's the most tempting knife in the reveal for me.
