My youngest son’s name is Magnus. He’s a very stoic little lad.

This is exciting to hear. I have two Mules. MagnaCut and M398. The magnaCut has become my exclusive fishing knife. It's great for cleaning and filleting smaller fish. But it's a bit small for larger fish like salmon. I've thought many times that a longer blade Mule (5"-6") would be perfect.

I really hope this pans out and we get a Mule Team XL .

Take a look at some Japanese Deba knives on YouTube. They use some pretty small knives to butcher some pretty large fish. I've used a 4" Deba to take apart some pretty big salmon.

Oh, I've used the Mule for several salmon this year. It works, but would be better if longer. And the fact that I'm no expert at filleting, lol. Those guys in Japan are masters of their craft for sure.
