If someone asks to borrow your knife and you hand them a bandaid first...

If you always carry a second, less fancy knife as a “loaner” for the three times a year someone asks to borrow your knife.

... You carry different a knife in every pocket of your pants

... You spend time thinking about which specific knife is best suited, personality wise, to which particular pocket

... Everytime you see your friend he asks to see your new knife. Because he knows you've acquired at least one new one since the last time.

If you cut yourself, and before you think to grab a bandaid you grab your phone to take a picture to share with your knife buddies...you might be a Knife Enthusiast.

Literally the very first thing I did when I got my first Spydie-bite, many many years ago!!! :squinting-tongue :squinting-tongue :squinting-tongue

…if you have a bowl containing a modest selection of your favourite EDC’s on your bedside table, because your sock drawer is six paces away and you might need a knife en route.

…if people at work are worried you have a gastric illness because you spend so much time on the Spyderco forum whenever you go to the bathroom.

I’m guilty of most of the previous posts.

If your budget knife is a $200 knife

If you forget how many knives you own in a particular model.

If you can name the steel of every knife you own

If you have a complete set of kitchen knives just for guests to use

If you have spent more on sharpening stones and systems than you spent on her engagement ring

If you design knives to fall asleep

If someone finds out you are a knife guy and they proudly show you their favorite knife and you have pitty on them while you cringe

If you mod almost every knife you own

You have to put knives in your will

If you get angry at knife YouTubers because you know more than them

If you have ever used the word “poon” and we’re talking about a knife

If you use a food saver to vacuum seal your knives when not in use to prevent corrosion.

If you have a knife for the swimming pool

If you have needed stitches more than once

If you have ever gone to a seconds sale and especially camped out just to be one of the first in line

Pretty sure your a knife enthusiast when you

Use 1 knife to cut tomatoes
Another knife to cut onions
Another knife to cut some ham or corned beef
Another knife to butter the bread after you used a bread knife to cut the bread.

We can be a serious bunch when it comes to debating some thing but at least we can laugh at ourselves too. In the end we have far more in common than not.

This happens to me at work all the time! From the Operations Manager to my coworkers. They always seem disappointed when I don’t have a new knife to show them!

You might be a knife enthusiast if you get around your friends and show off your knife scars.

Welp, gotta notify your family now you have to buy more new knives regularly to meet or exceed performance objectives and expectations at work! It's tough but someone has to do it to keep up :winking-tongue

If you are spending your Valentine’s Day night talking with dudes on a knife forum instead of enjoying your better half’s company could also mean your a knife fan. :winking-tongue
Well I did a pitstop at walmart to aqcuire the Ozark Trail D2 knife- which for reasons unknown is “sprint run exclusive” unobtainium 😅. I like to call it. CPM WD2

If you can casually use expressions like. Sprint Run, Exclusive, CPM, and other knife enthusiast Jargon in everyday convos, and your people call you “the knife guy”, you may be HIM

If you spend hours reading through old forum posts to justify purchasing an upcoming release/exclusive/sprint run and set an alarm at least 15 minutes before the drop time to make sure your login and payment info are correct.
