I usually take an Ambitious because it looks innocuous and it’s inexpensive to replace if confiscated. Most places the cops will just confiscate if it’s a tourist.

Do you find there are cutting tasks that the Ambitious is unable to properly be used for or you find no such problem?

I just checked my international airport. They do allow knives with a blade below 6 cm in Belgium in the carry on. In the past the airport confirmed this, BUT according to Brussels airport it was still up to the security officer (like TSA) to individually decide.
So don´t take anything you can´t loose.

They’re all the same.

And so say I decided to visit a place like Maniago, Italy which is a center of knife making and I found a great Spyderco Byrd or Salt for sale there. Should I buy it and ask them to ship it? Or cost wise just get it mail order?
