KW CTS-204P Forest Green G10 Manix 2
Re: KW CTS-204P Forest Green G10 Manix 2
Amazing what the economy has done. Just 5 years ago, this knife probably would have sold for $130 and sold out in minutes. Then would get flipped and sold for $180-$200. Here it sells retail for around that price and has sat forever.

This! I have enough Manix knives, just recently paid $140 for my Crucarta Manix, that’s a fantastic deal, I’m sure this 204P is and awesome knife, it’s just not worth $50 more bucks, at least not to me. If it was $140/$150 I would have already bought one.

Maybe a MAP holiday will bring the price down on the sport runs like this or Shaman XHP that are not fast sellers.

Re: KW CTS-204P Forest Green G10 Manix 2
I think it's a great looking knife and I really like the color of the g10 but for $190 m390/20cv/204P just doesn't tick the boxes for me personally. It's best quality is the corrosion resistance but if that was my main worry I'd go with s110v. Probably doesn't help either that Knife Joy has done 2 or 3 drops now in the last year or so of their 20cv Manix for less than $130.
Re: KW CTS-204P Forest Green G10 Manix 2
Agree with the other comments about this not being the best bang-for-the-buck version of this model/steel. That said, I do quite like this model/steel/color and this KW exclusive series, so I cashed in some credit card points and got one. Despite using a Manix 2 more than a PM2 by a significant margin these past couple years, I still have more PM2s floating around, so this is an important step to correct that.
Not a ton to say out of the box other than the quality's good and Spyderco seems to have done a nice job with them. Glad to have it.

For the forest green group shot, I did slightly tweak the photo colors to be closer to my eye's perception. The darker Military+PM2 and lighter Para3 is accurate.

Price has dropped to $159.99 for those who felt the $189.99 was a little high - thanks to @sn0wman72 in the deals thread. Repeating here for anyone who doesn't follow that

Very good looking knife, but I already have three Manix, so I must resist. Great price too.

This is a gorgeous knife, but I only want LW Manixes. They have spoiled me.

The dealer pics opposed to buyer shots and comments appear to notate the Forest Green is more of a Gray Green ? Anyone have one to confirm ? MG2

Nice collection! I have the M1 and PM2. CTS-204P performs well in my experience.

It is definitely a darker green that easily fades to grey/black depending on lighting and background. Not so much green to it as the old British Racing Green FRN ZDP-189 models, for example.Manixguy@1994 wrote: ↑Thu Nov 14, 2024 8:23 amThe dealer pics opposed to buyer shots and comments appear to notate the Forest Green is more of a Gray Green ? I'll see if I can get more pics if we get a sunny day here soon.

Thank you much appreciated. I was really hoping for a BRG look . The price drop to $159.99 did it for me. Plus I had some Rewards points. Thanks KW.

I don't know what Gray Green is supposed to look like, but here are two photos of the Manix beside a Brouwer and a BRG Stretch 2 in indirect morning sunlight.
First photo taken with automatic white balance. I tweaked the second photo to approximate how my eyes see the colors on my phone camera. YMMV.

Hi Mikey , thank you . In reviews at Knifeworks the Manix appeared to be lighter in color . This may be a roll the dice or just be more conservative and think hard about it . Still think it is a nice set up . You're welcome. Worst case scenario: if the green is too light you can always use rit dye.
Re: KW CTS-204P Forest Green G10 Manix 2
Video for color. He says the green is slightly darker than the Para 3 (as mentioned above by Skywalker). I have the M1 and PM2. I don't know, looks close to me.
