When do these drop?

i messaged them and asked, but they still couldn't give me a date. i'm watching closely for this one. i'm probably going to get myself in trouble after having just bought the ayoob.

yeah. i've wanted this one since i first saw their pm2 with the same treatment. but i've been waiting for the ayoob for a long time too and this one wasn't a thing until after i had already planned on the ayoob. too many great knives all at once. there are several production models i'm putting off for these exclusives. i've been waiting for a subway bowie or swick for a long time too, but they'll at least be around longer than the exclusives will.

Same here, a few regular productions are waiting because a few of these exclusive/sprints have my eye.

All I could gather from their social media was 'Sometime soon'.
Next week soon? This month soon? Who knows?

From what I gather REC is still moving and the new showroom won’t open until August 16th although there’s a YouTube video of REC Grand Opening posted on Tuesday, August 9th and the showroom looks great! Website says that their website orders are shipping. Perhaps they have limited staff like everywhere these days. The sample Avocado Manix2 I saw on YouTube had a manufactured date of March 2022 at the Golden factory. Long interval from manufactured date to dealer inventory.

If the MSRP is $225 MAP should be $157.50. However, will REC sell it at that price or somewhere between MAP & MSRP?

i have no idea. i just did a search to see if i could find any more info and came across it. $157 would be amazing though.

Interesting blade finish, looks a lot like a copper wash. I've considered trying it with blades in the past, it can be done by etching in ferric chloride with copper dissolved in it.

I haven't been able to land any of the REC offerings in this color combo. I hope they ordered a ton for this one..missing the pm2 was devastating and the secondary market is unreal!!

If this sells at map then I will try my best to get one.

It looks like these REC Exclusive Avocado Manix2 will be go on sale in a couple of weeks so I'm guessing late August 2022 to early September 2022.

Good maybe my knife budget will be replenished by then.......

Another one I am tempted just not sure about the coated blade. How does the PVD coating compare to the DLC coating? Has anyone seen this color combo in person on another knife? Is it a OD Green and a tan/copper blade? Anyone seen the color of the spacers, black I am assuming? Someone mentioned if this was a black DLC blade it would look even better.

Someone on eBay is asking $999 for this color combo I’m a PM3… crazy. Are they that popular?

That’s not bad considering a regular production Manix2 S30V Black DLC Blade with Black G-10 is $170.17.
