Well that article made me regret selling my Schempp Bowie even more than I already regret it.

I too would love to see any of Ed's designs come back in a new variation or sprint, but I'd rather see something new. Perhaps a new ethnic design?

I would like to buy both the Kris and the Persian. Brass bolsters, hollow grind with maroon scales. :spyder:
There was a thread about it not so long ago:

A Tuff and a Kris for me. :)
I'd settle for just a Tuff though...

How could we have overlooked Mr. Schempp's EuroEdge, his pièce de résistance.

That really is an amazing design. Sad to say I see a lot more knockoffs of this design nowadays than the real deal, which have become quite expensive on the secondary market.

Every time I see the EuroEdge I must chuckle - that would probably be the first of the Schempp designs to get confiscated in large parts of Europe :p ... it looks awesome though ...

Why did you sell it? Btw., that must be one of the rarest photo of the Bowie ... outside getting used :D
I will be getting one sooner than later. Had a chance to handle it - it is super cool.

Why did you sell it?
The Bowie is the only knife I've ever sold. It was my first "expensive" knife.
Prior to that, my collecting had been limited to discontinued and deeply discounted models.
My
Schempp Bowie photo album shows how much I loved it.
However, at that time, my finances were such that the pride of ownership in the Bowie
was eclipsed by the guilt of such a lavish expenditure for myself.
Since then, my situation has improved and I have acquired other costly knives,
the Schempp EuroEdge and a Peter Carey Rubicon for example.
But the memory of that Bowie and the remorse for selling it was so great
that it has strengthened my resolve to keep knives unless I gift them to a close relative or friend.

I can well understand that ... just sold a few of my 'unnecessarily expensive' kitchen knives as I went a little too far last 2-3 years.

Kris please.
Meanwhile I had chance to get Khukuri and Barong. Khukuri is the one I like more. Only cutting edge must be done because manufacture one is not great.

I'd be in for a Barong with more sharpened cutting edge.
Also, this thread made me decide to carry my Persian 2 75mm today. I never got to try the full size version, so I wouldn't mind a new release of that one.
