Ya I'll be picking one of these up. The grind looks incredible and the price is wonderful.

Always wondered why the Manix LW translucent option was just used in one single model so far (BD1(N)).

While I would definitely NOT want all of my Spydies in this style it's really cool to have at least one in "translucent". :)

I won't "hunt" though. Almost no chance here in Europe and I have two Manix 2 LW anyway (BD1N/REX45) - and YES, one in translucent (blue) ;)

This feels like a good consolation prize for missing out on the Slysz Bowie exclusive :o ... Maybe I'll get my first Manix. ;)

i think it was specifically to show off the new lock design. a better way to show it off would be to make the knife serviceable with screws.

I’ve got to start sitting most of these out. I like the steel, don’t like the color.

I'm loving that color. I'm glad to see more translucent Manix2LWs! I don't think I have any exclusive Spydies. This is very tempting though.

Yes.

I'm on board. I've been whining about the lack of translucent options for years so I'm going to show support by buying this one. I dig the color, looks great.

Pins, meh... I haven`t ever had a pinned Manix LW loosen up on me, and I've used them hard. Wouldn't mind if they radiused the handle edges though.

This knife reminds me more and more of the good ol' 90s... I like the color, but like many others, pins/rivets is a deal breaker. Cool exclusive though, and kudos to Knifejoker for taking the risk on this colorway!

I kinda like the old school simplistic nature of a knife that can't be dismantled. I've beat up these LW Manix over the years and never felt like I had to tear it down to do maintenance. But I do prefer the majority of my Spydercos to have torx screws.

after i got a spot of rust on my xhp manix blade that i was just barely able to address through the cbbl hole, i've always been a little worried about spots developing where i can't get to them. i don't take my knives apart a lot, but i want to be able to get to everything in case an issue develops.

There is no reason why they couldn't have used torx screws. I don't get why Spyderco still uses rivets on some of their knives. What is the benefit?

Doesn't the price seem high for FRCP? Seems like this would be more in line for a knife with FRN scales.

I cant really see why there would be much of a price difference between frn and frcp.

Its US made, in a good steel, the price is reasonable considering those two specs.

Nope. Pinned construction keeps the costs down. Beyond that, I suspect that on the whole, the margin on Manix 2 LW's is one of the lowest in their lineup which makes it a tremendous value and introduces Spyderco's iconic features to many as their first exposure Spyderco.

the color is kind of growing on me for this one. i'm tempted especially by the 20cv, but i'm trying to stay strong. i'm carrying my m2lw today just to keep me from pulling the trigger when it drops.

i know i've said multiple times that the pins are a deal breaker for me, but the m2lw really is an outstanding model. it's my favorite pocket knife overall. mine is in xhp, so i can't speak to the bd1n models, but people seem to love that steel too. anyway, i'm sure this will be a great knife for whoever picks one up. if i didn't have one already, i probably would be all over this one.

I carry the rex45 m2lw and I love it. It’s sharp as **** too. Only issue I have is the jimping on the back of the blade catches my pocket when putting it back in. I switched the clip and still does it. So I have to slide it in easy. 😎
