I have tons of birds at my new house. My grape vine seems to be a great place to catch them.

Pileated woodpecker. One of the coolest birds around. The Downy Woodpecker is common around my yard too but I have no pics of them.

The turkey roll deep around here. I have counted over 60 in my driveway in the winter when they are looking for pebbles to eat. Again, swarming the grapevine. There were still some grapes on it at this point.

Mourning doves on the woodpile quite often. These guys are actually tastey. Basically just a pigeon.

I like how the thread turned into pictures of birds. This forum is epic.

Years ago they trialled a new FM radio band here with birdsong.

It was just superb for lowering your temper on busy drives - the 180 miles in 5 hours type

I see a barred owl in my yard at dusk once a week but cannot get a decent picture of him to save my life. He too likes my clothesline and perches on it at night.

Bald eagles are common too and I see one almost every day but getting a good pic has been challenging as well. I had one swoop in on a chicken a few weeks ago but I was outside with the dog and it bailed when it saw us running and yelling.

Lots of red tail hawks too but no pics. The hawk seems to sometimes try to hang with the crows (maybe trying to scavenge food?) and the crows mob them and run them off. Seems odd.

I see cardinals from time to time but not often.

Blue Jays, crows and turkey vultures are an everyday thing.

A) He's buying fakes.
B) It's a really bad factory second.
C) Low quality bait.
D) All of the above.

Also, we have a kestrel nest close to our home. Might have to take some pics if I get the chance!
A tiger has claws.
A wolf has teeth.
An eagle has talons.
We, have Spyderco.

Do anyone have similar experience
It depends on location. Taiwan is very good, the US is good, China is bargain box slapdash. However, I have noticed a decline in Japan's care, shame bc their FRN is so good.

But I own only 2 Spyderco now bc I stepped out of the hype money pit to invest in guns, but also bc I roll my eyes at the steel rat race. So take my 2 cents FWIT.

These guys are amazing fare. Down here in Texas we have two hunting seasons a year (early and late season) bag limit is 15. I prefer them chicken fried (jsut the breast but with breast bone intact. you pick around it.) Second best way is to breast them, add a slice of jalapeno, slice of cream cheese, wrap all in bacon, and grill until all is right with the world.. Now I am hungry..

They are migratory so they are only around here certain times of the year but when they are around they are around every day. The wood shed is maybe 15 yards form my front door and they love it for some reason. I assume they are eating bugs or something. Sadly my state does NOT have a season on them but I have lived a lot of different places and have had them in the past.

I wonder what the range is of red tail hawks? You have snow on the ground and it is already summer here. I was lucky enough to see one take a squirrel out of a tree in my backyard. Especially since I wasn't the squirrel.

The pics with snow are from throughout the winter. It is all gone now. It has been for about a month. It is almost 90 degrees here today. Yuck. The pic of the sparrows nest in my grape vine is from today. Things are getting pretty green.

I have watched Hawks kill quite a few rabbits and have had them go after my chickens but thankfully I haven't lost a chicken to a hawk yet. I have lost many chickens though. I loathe foxes... Argh.... I had a fisher try to get in my coop this winter. That was a first.

The biggest threat to squirrels around here is me. Mmmm.... Those tastey buggers....

Had these guys hanging out on the roof of my Tacoma. All young ones. I was glad mom and dad weren't around when I took the pics as I was very close to them.
