Very cool! I wonder if it will end up on the 2017 catalog cover in some form.

Awesome. This is a must have just to experience it. I'm eager to see what I think compared to the PM2

Hmm did they change the blade shape for the PM3? In this photo the blade looks much fatter heading towards the point... I was operating with the assumption that the blade would be the same shape, just smaller scale...

I hope not ! This would be a dealbreaker for me

From the reports I've read of people who have handled the prototype. they all say that the handle and blade are the same thickness as the PM2 just in a smaller package.

I would prefer it have different name. PM3 implies an updated version of the Paramilitary - PM then PM2 then PM3. I think since smaller something like Minuteman or Militia would be cool.

But no matter what it is called, I will have one in every iteration.

Why are we assuming the announced knife is the PM3 (or whatever else it will be called)? Did I miss something?

1. Elements of the knife resemble a Paramilitary
2. The hashtag #itsfinallycoming. Can you name something else that resembles a PM that people have been demanding?

Sage 5 vs PM3 - any significant difference? I do not get the reason to make both knives...

Awesome news. :) I have been pretty eager to see the PM3. Looks like it will be here soon--in S30V and a pinned stop pin (based on the Clue #2 picture). I already love the tapered handle. This should be an epic model.

Aside from the blade shape, hole size, scale material, clip. lanyard tube, etc, they should be very similar in size and ergonomics. I'll be interested to see if the new Para has the same blade thickness as the PM2 or if it'll be thinner like the Sage 5. I'm also hopeful the the new knife uses the same style pivot as the PM2. If so it should feel a little more refined than the Sage 5. While my Sage 5 is pretty smooth and a darn nice knife overall, it's not quite like my PM2s.

It looks like the blade chips significantly on contact with stone. :)

Hmm. Just noticed that too. At first I was bummed because I'd prefer deeper carry, but now I'm realizing that I rarely clip my under 3" knives and put a lanyard on half of them (especially in dress pants/office wear).
