I already have a s110v blurple knife, that seems to be the most popular idea so far though, and Spyderco is already geared to go on those materials, and if they made one i'd buy it, but i hope for a sprint run of something unique. (they should totally make an s110v standard production model though)

Are you sure? Or are you mistakenly mixing this up with the FRN S110V that was confirmed? Like everyone else here it seems were unaware that this was confirmed. It would be a huge deal if it was.

I cant remember exactly which thread but I know its been stated numerous times that Golden pieces will eventually get the Blurple treatment, So far we have the PM2, Manix2, Native, next up is the Military, then my guess would be the manix2 XL then the Yo2, even mention but not sure if its confirmed Urban/UKPK??

So as it stands now I think it's safe to say the Yojimbo in S110V is still up in the air.

Since they currently make a UKPK drop point and leaf style blade shape... Do you think they will make both in S110V or just the leaf shape? I'm guessing the leaf shape is the better seller?

on exactly what Golden models are getting S110V and blurple G10? I am particularly curious regarding the Yojimbo 2 and Manix 2 XL. Neither have mention in the catalog but you had said all the Golden models would receive S110V. Just trying to budget for 2016 with all the greatness you have planned! And a Yo2 in S110V and blurple would be on my list for sure if produced. Thanks as always for your time.

Our plan is to make all of the Golden models in a CPM-110V variation with the dark blue scales. We don't have a detailed plan as to what the order and time will be as we fit them in.

Seemed like the longest time you couldn't even find a G10 production model.

I seem to remember Janich saying they halted production while he was working for BlackHawk. Now that he is back with the Spyderco Team Yojimbo's are easier to come by.

Thanks to everyone for your enthusiasm for a Yo2 Sprint. I really enjoy hearing your thoughts and ideas.

To clarify the quote above, I taught MBC under Spyderco's auspices from 1999-2004, when I went to work for BlackHawk. The first generation Yojimbo was released toward the end of that period. Part of the reason it was short lived was my career choice.

In 2009, I left BlackHawk and had the good fortune of joining Spyderco as a full-time employee. Shortly thereafter, Sal and Eric asked me to design another knife and the Yojimbo 2 was the result. It was released in late 2011 and has been in high demand ever since. As our new factory gets even more efficient, our backlog on them has gotten much better and that are now much more readily available. That also means the potential for Sprints or Exclusives is also higher.

I believe the last time I got a response on the DLC request, Mike himself said he wasn't big on the idea and Sal had said it was his decision. I'm not sure if a dealer could commission an exclusive and change that or not. It would be an absolute purchase for me no doubt about it.

Steel wise I too would like to see a tougher steel option like 3/4V, Cruwear, M4. I'd of course be in for one in S110V but as a utility blade it does make sense to have a tough steel that'll take a beating and not chip.

Already having and enjoying my old S30V (although I chipped my tip) and S90V versions, I'm not feeling super compelled to get one in S110V...

Maybe if it were my first Yojimbo 2 purchase... but otherwise it's just competing or obsoleting my current stainless carriers.

Although it's still redundant in the big picture (same knife, and who needs 3 of the same knife? Lol), I'd atleast like some variety, even if minor, to justify another.

Where were all of you when the S90V/CF exclusive sat on shelves for 6 months not selling? That's why we don't see more sprints in knives like this. When they risk not selling them, it doesn't make them too keen on doing another run.

I was sitting on the fence, not digging the looks....for me this was a knife I had to get in my hand to really appreciate....now I love it..Hmmmm wonder if I'm wrong about the Dodo also...
