I bought one foliage green knife and put for sale on BF on the next day. This color looks like foliage gren to me :(
I could be wrong, but I think the "jade green" is a slight marketing exaggeration and that it's probably just regular natural G10 similar to what I have pictured (which you also may not like ;) ). In fact I see BHQ doesn't mention "jade" now and just calls it natural G10 with a "unique translucent green color." I think it'll be quite different from the totally opaque foliage green and more like the way glow-in-the-dark G10 looks in daylight. Time will tell :)

Getting back on track, I think the high number of 52100 CF* CTS204P millies in the KW run will cut down on flipping and on the profits of those who do flip, keeping some knives in stock for a long time at KW for those who are late deciding to join the party.

*Edit: Ooops, brain slipped a cog -- happens to us septuagenarians sometimes :o You guys are too polite.

Personally, I think the natural G10 has a sickly look to it that isn't very appealing. I would prefer the regular black G10 with the M4 at the same price point.

Knifeworks has updated their page with pictures. (Yes I am obsessed and keep checking on any new updates :o ) Looks like Spyderco has been making improvements to the build of the Military. I hope this is the real deal!

A bigger lanyard hole on the handle and bigger body screws.

Flow through as well.

Very interesting CQI changes... What's up with that stop pin? Looks like a floating pin? I was tempted to pass, but this is changing the game somewhat...

I really hope that's it! I might order another if that's the case. Different stop pin, larger PM2 style hardware and lanyard tube, rounded Military style clip, flow through back. Exciting!

While this knife looks amazing I just can't justify the $200 for it right now. Especially when I carry a cruwear military daily.

If the image KW put up is a shot from an actual production sample, then it appears to have the same pivot as the s90v Sprint, i.e. stepped pivot similar to the PM2's...I'd prefer the infinitely adjustable pivot, but it's definitely not a deal breaker!

BIG BIG thumbs up for the upgraded Torx + standoffs replacing the slab Al backspacer....as for the lanyard tube, a big bonus for lanyard guys-- personally I don't see a lanyard as a very useful feature on a TipDown carry model <YMMV>.

Nice to see the Spyderco CQI train keep on chuggin'! :spyder: Thanks Sal, Eric, Gail & Co. :) :spyder: :)

Sal please comment on all the CQI we're overlooking or unable to be seen in pics...I know we've overlooked some in our excitement! :D

It's incredible how a few minor tweaks can make such a huge difference. I hope these changes are also made to the 52100 sprint.

Due to the price I wasn't sure about this one but with the CQI changes I think I will be picking one of these up.

Thanks for the pics & info, Tabo! This makes me glad I decided to go ahead and pre-order one, though I was originally going to limit myself to the 52100. I've been hoping for a change to open stand-off type back-spacers but never thought about it coming as a surprise like this :) I think this one may move into user status right away.

Not a pivot expert, so I'll go with the powers that be on the pivot change. I don't think they would have arbitrarily changed to a more complex pivot after 20 years for no good reason and if it were not a very reliable and usable pivot for afis.

The larger lanyard hole would probably make it difficult to do a nice looking tip-down clip mod in case I ever get around to trying it. On the other hand, I see that the Pacific Salt clip is off-center and looks good. The Millie lanyard hole might make it easier to add a barrel bolt clip... but I would have preferred to use a standard Millie clip (right hand clip moved to left side for lefty tip-down carry :D )

False advertising? They probably are real..there would be a Huge backlash if they posted pics of a knife with all those CQI changes then when they came in they were the standard Millie.

They will probably sell quite a few due to all the changes.

I can see that the stop pin is farther from the edge and has no screw heads, in the pictures at least. Someone please elaborate on the significance of this. By the way I think I can remember when a preliminary picture or two were prototypes or speculative or whatever, but these look like good clear photos and not artist conceptions.

They look like CAD photos to me. Unless these changes have been requested by KW, I don't think they will happen. If you look in the catalog the 52100 sprint run has the normal Military features and this knife has been made at the same time.
