I know a lot don't like the FRN but I love it, the G10 version just doesen't feel like an Endura and certainly doesen't weigh like one. The texture is right and the weight is perfect all that's missing is a decent steel. VG-10 is great, in fact I love it but S30V is becoming a standard.

As Nathan from NC mentioned I'd love it if the edge went almost all the way to the handle like with the Tenacious, would make more heavier tasks easier.

I am a sucker for choils *cough*Manix2*cough* but no, the way this knife is shaped is just perfect, it works for all hand sizes and it's not only comfortable it begs to be used. I love my Enduras and the only thing I'd change is the steel. Yes I know there's ZDP-189 but
it's not as corrosion resistant as I need it...I'm rambling again, sorry.

I miss pointy endura's.

I think a more pointy tip should be a option at least.

There is an option, takes a little work:

Yeah, I do this on my user Endura/PacSalt/ and Delicas. I use a belt sander.

I understand the reasons why Spyderco strengthened the tip on their best sellers: they have to please everyone including those "extreme hard users" that complained about the tips for years. Same guys who moan about the PM2 tips being too sharp for prying and hammering and whatever hardcore manly knife work they do. It's alright though: 30 minute project and you got a proper tip :)

I agree. Not all of Spyderco's folders need to have a finger choil. Plenty of them already do.

I'm not a fan of choils but Spyderco seems to see them as the evolution of their folding knives. From the Calaypso to the Caly 3.5 and the variation of the Stretch. I doubt they will add choils to all the knives but it wouldn't surprise me to see more of them.

As for the pointier tip the latest deviation went away from that. Probably due to breakage. Combined with FFG the tip would be even more fragile if made "pointy".

Not really sure how they would/could improve the Delica and Endura without some huffing and puffing. Maybe giving the lockback a Native5/Chaparral redesign, rounding the spine or some subtle tweaks to the current handle? Time will tell :)

If they're gonna take the endura further lockwise it's probably gonna be that new type of backlock that's completely different.
I don'r know what the Endura 6 is gonna be but I'm certain I'm gonna happy with it

Did someone SAY there was an Endura 6, or are you all just speculating? By the way, I think it's just fine as is.

And bear in mind all that a HUGE part of the Endura's charm is it's AFFORDABILITY. Ball bearings, more titanium, etc. would run the price up substantially.

Pointy tips are a very easy fix. I have modified several for myself and others here. Having the old tips was just more work on Spyderco's part to deal with warranty claims on people who magically droke their pointy tip cutting "cardboard".

Minor grave dig(february -> march - sorry).
Was wondering if there were any updates on the SG2 G10 version. :)

And wanted to add the stonewash idea to the pool.

And of course ball bearing pivot if the costs ever worked out.

Would the powerlock be compatible with the Endura? :o

I think that the current Endura needs no change. They have perfected it.
