Is this a totally new clip or has it been used before on a different model?

Thanks for the pics.

Me too. Wish they had used the same clip. I'll be taking a blowtorch and a pair of pliers to the clip and folding it over as soon as my LW Native arrives. And when I mess it up and have to order another one Spyderco Customer Service will be like "..I can't believe you already broke the clip! We just released these!!" :D

I believe its a new clip. Its similar to the tenacious clip. But still a little different. Not to fond of it. No where close to deep carry with this knife. But its still a great knife so i can live with the clip.

handled it at Mark's Outdoors today. Out of every Native I have handled, this one is the easiest to access the thumbhole on.

Are the handles on this one FRN or are they FRCP?

Handled one today and this is hands down my favorite version of the Native so far. There is no earthly reason I need one at this point, but this is going to be a must-buy for me. Great job, Spydercrew!

I do not have a problem to access Spyderhole on any of mine, but this sound intriguing. May be I need one more Native5 in addition to 6, which I have. Most likely will wait for different steel.

I got mine yesterday just to check out, I'm not a fan of the Native's ergos for my hand. It's really nice! There are no liners, the inside has a lattice of ribs like the Manix lightweight, it's super light, but very rigid. It does have a hollow sound due to the handle construction, but that's a non issue for me. The blade finish is a neat ghostly gray like the new FFG S30V Manix 2's.

If my hands were a little smaller, I'd love this version! I bet you and your son will really like it.

I got mine what a surprise it was, I had an idea of what the native was but you really need to handle one. I can't put it down, first it is light and well balanced, the ergos accommodated my large fat hands. It felt like I was holding a dragonfly but with a fuller body and larger blade. The control you have on this middle sized knife is awesome. I am a fan of the native now I would really like a CruWear version of it, that would be awesome. The FRN its sturdy the take down construction is awesome and the spine of the blade is thick I really like that. If you dont got one you are missing out.
