I was one of the fellers that bugged Sal for a SB Stretch, it was a long road and here it comes ;)
Yup, thanks, and I read your post in Sal's bombshell thread...but the choil "looks" identical to my VG10 Stretch...do you think the "deeper" choil didn't make the final production cut?

The change will be implemented exactly how Sal explained it on that thread. Its still about a year away.

I wonder if there will be any future versions of the current Stretch design once the new change is implemented (...and sorry if that's already been confirmed or denied without my knowledge)? Not that there haven't been a great run of new varieties recently. One can still hope for a G10 version at some point... :)

The first versions of the new Stretch will likely be G10, to verify the design prior to making the investment in new FRN molds. Sal has said as much.

Thought Sal said CF and ZDP for the first go at this revamp... Anyone else know where he said that? Maybe in the bombshell thread...

Finally got this to upload. Didn't use a filter but the lighting gave it this tan appearance anyway. Sick blade, it's been in my pocket for a week now and it's going to remain there for a while I imagine.

I'm assuming this color is a photographic effect, maybe fluorescent light, but boy does it look cool!! I think I want a yellow Stretch with a yellow blade!!
K-390 on hand: Mule Team 17, Police 4 G-10, Endela (burlap micarta), Endela backup, Endura (canvas micarta), Straight Stretch (now blade-swapped with G-10 Stretch), Delica Wharncliffe, Dragonfly Wharncliffe, & Dragonfly Wharncliffe shorty mod
Note to self: Less is more.
