I'm fine with this. I like the sans dent on the Forum Native.

This is even better news. Is this a possible release for Q1 in 2014 Sal?

Now this I like the sound of!!

Sal...please put the orange with something like s30v...and the other steels with some better colours. Please.

Love to see a Navy and M4 combo. That would be especially sweet.

I'd like to see CPM154 and M4 on Native5's and Native LWT's.

sal wrote:Hi Nico,

The first run will be a special for the British Blade forumites. We'll be payng Martyn (owner of site) for the logo and the logo will be put on each knife. We'll make the knife whatever color he (or his forumites) wants. Then we'll do regular runs in whatever colors our cusotomers want.

sal
I'll hold my breath until then and see what happens :)

Thank you,

Nico.

I bought a regular G10 Native 5 this week, manufactured in July 2012, and it has no Boye dent, either - did any of the Native 5s have the dent?

This thread just keeps getting better. I would be fine with another S35VN model, but it would be nice to see some other steels in the N5 format, a little more Cruwear maybe? :D

Thanks for helping me out guys. I only own one N5 (forum) so I wasn't sure if the lack of dent held true for all N5s.

Thanks. The 2011 catalog, in which it was introduced, listed the Boye dent, and the picture seems to show the dent (hard to tell). I think the dent makes unlocking significantly harder, but maybe I'm all thumbs. :spyder:

So it seems that this new Native is a relatively inexpensive platform for more expensive steels... Count me in!

+1

In an ideal world, I would be in pure bliss if the Caly 3.5 platform was used for high-end American steels. Alas, this is not possible. I'll definitely be planning on acquiring Native 5 Lightweights that display XHP, 20CP, 204P, S90V, etc. Though I'll still be wishing for a wire clip. :p

I love the Delica, and I collect the different variations of it; however, I am really loving the idea of a strong Delica competitor that's made in-house in Golden. If the Native5 ltwt takes off the way I'm hoping then it could be really make for some strong competition.
