Exactly the same goes for me!!!

Hrm... I would say its somewhat important, but in that list, one of the last things I care about.
I do care that it :
- looks nice - aesthetics a big piece. Does it contrast too much with the piece? [eg black everything, but white clip? -exaggeration]
- How it feels in hand. Will it be a hindrance to edc? will it stick into my palm etc? - Although once I get it, and this is an issue I just take it off and dump it in my pocket. There are some knives that are so much more comfy without, or just look a lot better /symmetrical imo without it.
I don't really pay too much heed to super low ride clips etc. I don't mind some handle showing for the most part.

Very important. I have lost too many SAKs in the past, and I do not like pocket carry any more now that I am used to clips, its just too bulky and uncomfortable.

I especially like the low ride wire clip of the Caly for the office. On weekdays I normally try to match the knife to the pants, to get a discreet combination for the day. For that reason I really dislike these bright shiny clips.

After finding Spyderco, I find that I need the clip, even if I loose carry.
They can aid in the grip for opening certain knives as well. Spyderco clips
all seem to be just right for me. If i had a preference, I might switch a few
out here and there, but it's never been a big issue, so what comes with the
knife has always been fine.

On smaller knives, I always remove the clip and carry them deep in pocket. So clips aren't important there.

Larger knives (e.g., Sage, Para, Bradley and up) I like using the clip. I greatly prefer deep pocket clips to keep most of the knife tucked away in my pocket and out of view. I've replaced several stock spydie clips with those from STR. His lo-rider clips are great aftermarket accessories - plus, he's a great guy to deal with!
