7. Phoenix...cause the BBL is cool and the Phoenix is the most perfect embodiment of it
8. Poliwog G10...almost as cool as the Phoenix
9. Para II...practical, tough, pointy, great belly, what's not to love?

Today it's my Sage 1. Who knows tomorrow.

The Spydie I find most practical for most of my needs is the Para 2. But, there are far too many favorites to choose one, especially with the deep diversity in the Spyderco lineup.

I have a few that I really love. Here's what I love about each.

1. Sage4: Fits my hand great. I love S30V. Very sturdy folder. Legal anywhere I will go. This is the knife I'd pick if I could only have or carry one.

2. Chaparral: This is the one that gets the most use when I carry it. Fits hand perfectly. Love S30V. Excellent slicer/cutter. I have the edge at 24 deg. incl. with a 36 deg. edge bevel. This would be my one and only instead of the Sage4 except sometimes I need an EDC knife that needs a little more umph.

3. Manbug: This knife is a very strong and very capable knife for it's size. Mine is a "frankenspyder". G-10 model with black G-10 scales and the ZDP blade ground to a Jester like shape.

4. Bradley Folder: GREAT GREAT knife. I love the blade shape and M4 steel. Ergos are great but not the BEST. I do love the lack of over-jimping. Beautiful knife. Would replace the Sage4 as the one and only if it wasn't a little too long and possibly illegal.

5. Dragonfly: Great little knife.

6. Jester, G0-10 sprint: Great small knife and the spine shape is wonderful. I put orange G-10 scales on mine. I love the color and I can find it when I drop it. :)

There have been other great ones (favorites) but these hold the thrones now.

I love the original large Manix. It's built like a tank, and I've always had an affection or lock back knives. I bought an extra large and a small for backup.... I've never used them because the 1st ones I got wont wear out.
My church knife/ office knife is a stainless steel Cricket. Man, that knife has been such a good companion. It disappears in a pocket. It's so awesome for fine detailed cutting.
I love bigger knives as my EDC's. I have an all black S30v Military that I consider my #1 knife. My next favorite Spyderco is my G10 Police 3. I love the long FFG blade.
I recently got a Manix XL. It feels great in my hand and the blade shape and size may convince me to make me make this knife my regular carry.

Original Kiwi SS, its thinner then my CF/bone handles.
Easy to carry in coin pocket, great secure grip, very useful blade for daily tasks.
Looks weird and cool, nothing like it.

My favorites are the Caly 3 Damascus, Carbon Fiber PM2, Southard, Techno and the Fluted Titanium Native 5. These are all beautiful knives, smooth opening, scary sharp, and down right bad ***. I tend to use the Southard and Techno harder since they don't show wear and scratches much. I have about 40 Spyderco knifes and carry them all from time to time depending on the task or my mood.

This week, it's been the Rookie. Next week will be the Delica G-10; the following week it will probably be the Dragonfly G-10. Then it's back to the Delica 4 FRN, and maybe, just maybe, I'll carry the knife that started it all, the CO1 Worker....but I'll be extra carefull with that baby since it still is as new as a baby's bottom, box and all. :o

It depends on where I'm at and how I am going to need to use the knife. My short list is:

1. Caly 3, CF/ZDP-189
2. Para 2, CF/S90V
3. Manix 2, CF/S90V

I also like the Schempp Spin (CF/VG-10) because of its petite size, but it's not a big blade for an serious work that I could do with the Manix 2 or other larger Spyderco folders.

The Vallatton is my favorite, I have something like 8 spydies that sit on the dresser for the EDC rotation, and since I got the Vallatton it has been stealing the show. Looks, comfort, finish, absolute awesomeness are all huge aspects. Not to mention the action is so smooth its insane, its like the Manix XL with a heavier blade so it packs a bigger punch. Everything just grooves together with this knife and I can't help but love it. I also must say, the thumb stud+spydie-hole is actually an awesome combo.

Although I just got the Puukko which is an amazing knife, and if I wasn't in Berkeley, CA I would EDC that a lot too, and it may even rival the Vallatton down the line.

There are a couple of things going on with that photo that I like. The first and obvious thing is the patina on the blade. But I also really like the grime around the pivot pin and the way you can tell where your fingers wrap around the handle by the way the G10 is lighter and less stained in that area. Yes, credit to Sal and crew, but also credit due to the owner for using the knife the way it was meant to be and bringing it to it's current state of perfection.

Thanks, superblue in this platform is too nice just to keep in the drawer. :D

1) Stretch in ZDP - In CF, powdery blue/BR green FRN you name it I'm there.
2) Native5 - Wouldn't mind if this got the sprint tretment like the Manix2. S110v is a good start :D
3) Over ten others worthy of the three slot.

Another favorite. Both of my SB 3.5's are in the drawer but you are right. I've been meaning to put some use in at least one of them, but it is hard to crack the lineup and my top two Spydercos are lockbacks already. Also you can never have too many knives, but you only have so many things to cut!

There's no such thing as too many knives. :D

Lately I keep returning to the Native 5. It's like my Goldilocks Spydie. Not too big and not too small, this one is just right. The ergos of the N5 are spot on for me, and it will handle any task I throw at it. The design is pretty clean and tight too. I like the way the back of the blade and handle make a continuous sweeping arc when open. Functional, yet attractive. I'll be really really really excited to get this baby in S110V.

Zowada,
Manix 1 & 2,
Paramilitary 1 & 2,
Military.
And why? I don't know, LOVE is blind :p
