anyone thinking about holding off on the GB, i will tell you that ive had quite a few high end knives pass through my hands and i keep coming back to the GB. It has a custom knife feel to it, and would directly compare it to my Les George VECP folder i own.

Of course I couldn't leave his table empty-handed......

Did you pick up one of his knives at the show last weekend? I really liked the larger of the two fixed blades he showed that will have Spyderco collaborations made from them, but I wasn't quite ready to swing the $500 (I'm sure it's worth it though). I'll definitely get the collaboration when it comes out though.
Which Knife, A or B? get Both! (and C, D and E) :)

That's what I thought until I got the GB M4. I changed my mind. A little Tuffglide on the blade
and it's good to go. It been carried regularly (in my pocket now) for a over a year and it looks
as good as the day I bought it. I wipe it off after it gets wet and like Chuck said - screaming edge.
I've tried M4 before, hated it. I don't like rust, think a patina looks ugly, and I don't want to baby my knives. Much easier to keep a knife clean when it shuns rust.
I'd rather laugh with the sinners than cry with the saints.

To each his own, but trust me, I don't baby my knives. I like signs that they have been
used. I don't like rust either and don't tolerate it on any of my tools, wrenches or whatever.

However, it's not babying, when you take care of your tools. After I use a shovel, I'll scrape
the dirt off the blade, I'll wipe the grease off a pair of plyers and I'll give a knife blade a quick
wipe off the side of my pants or inside of my shirt. It's no big deal.

Honestly, I didn't get the GB for a long time because of the stainless steel thing, but I have
carried it over a year (without Tuffglide) and it looks fine. I finally bought some tuffglide and
put it on several knives including the GB.

I do know what you mean though about rust, and I am not a patina fan either. I just had to
stick up for the GB a little, that's all.

I've had two Southards and sold them both without really using them. I think it is a great design and the flipper is fine and I like 204P...but no lasting excitement...
However, I really enjoy the GB's and they seem to have a "sparkling" edge, and a "presence" like I seldom see on another folder.
My M4 PM2 was like this also. It's a great steel anytime you use it.

I picked up my first Gayle Bradley this weekend. It arrived today and my initial impression is that I am very impressed. Wow, what a lovely beast of a blade! I don't think I've ever been as excited about a knife just out of the box. I can now see what all the fuss is about and I am looking to using the **** out of this thing in the coming days, months and years.

I noticed that too. I assumed it was supposed to be Manix 2.
