My understanding is that this is a production knife and as bh49 stated it may be a limited production due to the constraints of the Golden production line.

There is no indication that it's limited production but it stretches the imagination to imagine that knife being run off in large quantities. Heck, even very mainstream knives (G10, S30V) are often in short supply.

200 flat with shipping included would make more sense to me.

Like the fluted Ti native 5 no one knows how many will eventually be produced. There are some dealers who don't take pre-orders. If you really want one go get one, but you should be ready to pull the trigger as soon as they are released. How long did it take to sell out the available Fluted Ti Native 5?

KW had it the longest, almost everywhere else was sold out. By March I think it was dry.

bh49 wrote:per catalog it looks like production. But keep in the mind some production is "limited production" like Ti Fluted Native and Milly. I hope that CF Native5 will be easy to find

What catalog are you talking about?

Is the production of S110V blades for the Forum Knife a good reason to hope that the CF Native will appear sooner rather than later?

I am sure that we will, as well as fluted CF Native5. Nobody knows when. Hopefully next year. No problem here. 2013 Forum Native still keep me excited.

The fluted CF native 5 I handled was amazing. Light as a feather but still felt built like a tank! Sal was such a tease letting us handle that knife, still haunts my dreams.

Hi, I was lucky enough to land an early pre-order for one of these a while back from BladeHQ. They sent me a email about two weeks ago regarding this order making sure my card number and address was still current, so I don't know if that lends any hope that we'll see one sooner than later but it's something... I agree with Roman though, the green forum Native is the most incredible version I've come across and the blade steel is awe-inspiring! :)

I also pre-ordered one of these some time ago from GP. Wondering if there is any information on the ship date? I'm not opposed to waiting for a knife but "fall 2013" came and went...

I asked the place I put my pre-order in just today and was told sometime in May. Hope that helps!

I'm always a second too late, and a penny too little, haha. Thanks guys. I wonder how long S110V can hold its edge, and how hard Spyderco hardens the blade to..?

This was really the knife I would have preferred over the Forum Knife - I rarely put anything that isn't CF in my pocket these days. My little CF / zdp-189 caly-3 has hoarded most of the pocket time lately.

I did snag one of the Forum Knives, but the native 5 honestly isn't my favorite platform, and I haven't been able to bring myself to carry it due to its rarity. Still might end up trading it one day, I guess. Shame, too - I still haven't gotten the chance to test out the 110V and see how it holds up to the hype.
