For scale, here is the Techno next to a Dragonfly, Leaf Storm, Sage 2, and Delica 4.

The Techno's blade is thick! Here it is with a Dragonfly on the left and Leaf Storm on the right.

Back view. Although the Techno is a stout little knife, it's not really much thicker than the Leaf Storm.

The Techno gives you a little more cutting edge, and I find the Techno's ergos much easier to deal with than the Leaf Storm's. The Techno is actually very comfortable in hand, and I believe, less likely to bite.

The deep carry wire clip and stonewashed finish are very nice features. The lock bar of the Techno is thick and strong, and locks open with authority.

I know the tolerances are tighter on the Sebenza, but in reality, I don't see any difference in quality or function. Though the Sebenza offers more cutting edge, and is likely the better slicer.

IMO, the Techno is the most custom-like, and one of the highest quality Spydercos I've ever held. Very impressive, and worth every penny.

Great Pictures everyone. You all really ought to get a commission. I don't think I would have ordered one until I saw this thread.

Ughhhh can't wait to get mine!! Really pleased that the blue spacer was kept, despite all the complaints about it, I think it's a great touch. The stone wash finish looks amazing too, real credit to the designers and makers in Taiwan, look forward to trying some cts-xhp too, thanks for the pics made me drool even more.

July was such an expensive month for me for knife purchases ... that I debated getting the Techno. Certainly glad I just said the heck with it and placed my order! Haven't been this thrilled with a small knife in a long time! This is one solid, well-built, and capable little knife that doesn't feel little in my hand! Of course, the obligatory picture.

I'm really liking the looks of this one. Thanks to all who've posted pics!
Gbelleh, would you mind snapping a pic of the Techno and Sebenza from above (spine shot)? I'd really like to see their comparative thicknesses!

Sure.
Not great lighting right now but...
Side by side
End to end
IMO, not much difference in pocket.

Has anyone tried cutting anything?.................or a collector only?

I cut open a couple packages (padded mailers and taped boxes) and opened some envelopes. It zipped through the mailers with no problem. The Techno's tip tapers to a fine enough point that it opens letters easily enough. So far, I'm really liking it.
Someone else will have to do the extensive cardboard cutting tests.

Comparison pics with Ambitious and Cat:
Mine got overshadowed by the arrival of my Tuff this morning, but I do still really like my Techno too - so many neat knives Spyderco has put out lately!

Nice photos guys, I'm trying to ignore the fact that mine is still in transit to me ( yeah right! )
I've been dreaming of this thread for months now and here it is rolling along nicely.
Can't wait to contribute...
