what's funny is once cs sells out of an item another larger brick and motar type store will then sell that same item for more. it's called supply and demand.

I have been dying to try out Cutlery Shoppe after hearing great things about them on this forum. But their prices and service might be "too" good since all the knives I want are out of stock there. Haha. Looks like they're are doing something right.

...snip... so I kindly requested a QC check before it shipped out. ...snip... Upon opening the shipping box I was greeted with a note written on the back of one of his cards and banded to the Spyderco box.

It may seem frivolous to some, but that small gesture speaks volumes about the kind of business that Jeff operates.

This is exactly my experience and why I shop at CS. His profit margins going up 2% on Spyderco products is nothing, just compare the new price to almost any other online store out there and you still get a fantastic deal.

If you feel it is too much to pay, you can choose to use the free shipping code and get that money back and then some.

I for one will happily pay a little more for this guy to stay in business, because I believe in rewarding people with a business ethic like this. Same reason I have for buying Spyderco products in the first place.
