I would really like to know from those who chimed in with this model or that is best. Do you own a Cento 4.
I have quite a few of the mentioned models + 2 Centofante 4s & a C25 Cento, the old one, aluminium handle, green kraton inlay which is another beaut light thin blade.
It is a Centofante 4 that goes to work with me each day because it is so well suited to my tasks, easy to sharpen, won't rust in my sweat dripping clothes & it is NKP friendly.
I also carry a Ladybug hawk which is the best thing ever for opening those **** clam pack thingo's that bathroom fitting manufacturers insist on using.

No, but I did, and I do own a Centofante 3 which shares all the traits of the 4 except the wharncliffe blade and a Vesuvius which is virtually identical to the 3, aside from its lock. Lack of a 50/50 choil, and the resulting need to pay close attention when closing, is a big negative for me. Squared off hump above the Spyderhole, and lack of LH clip options are also points against on my scorecard. 2mm blade made them tempting, but wasn't enough to overcome the negatives for me. Which is probably one reason I'm so psyched up over the Chaparral.

That said, every model Spyderco has ever produced has its fans and the Centofante 3 and 4 have been in the lineup longer than most collaboration models, so I'm not the least surprised that some folks find the Cento 4 to be "best of the best".

Hard to pick from Police, Terzuola C15, Endura Emerson 3 or ATR-Ti.

I only got a Centofante 1V because I had a Centofante 3 and was trying to start a bit of a Spyderco collection. I liked it, but it pretty much went straight into the safe with out using it.

It came back out after I got a P’kal and thought I’ve seen that blade shape before. I am not suggesting it is equal in purpose to the P’kal, but a side by side comparison is interesting.
And it doesn’t get the negative comments from non knife people that P’kal does.

It's real fun to see opinions all over the place :) I kind of expected that here :)

For someone not wanting to spend too much money I would say the Delica SG VG-10.

My ultimate has been and still is the Bradley :D Don't have a Centofante, simply can't keep up with the offerings, but for me the Bradley is a superb piece of work. All of the others I have come in a very close second place.

They're all great depending on what you need to do :)

It's not a bad knife, and I'm all for repping Spyderco, but I always found the frn handles on the Centofantes to be a bit tacky. I've used them; they're great blades, and I'd love to see a re-release/sprint run in G-10 myself. I'm just not a big logo guy and I'd rather have a more usable texture on the handle, especially since the handle itself doesn't offer much in terms of grip retention (especially compared to something like the Caly or Manix) I'd even take a lightweight Centofante in bidirectionally textured FRN (I'm thinking Endura handle). Smooth polymers always feel cheap to me.

The single greatest Spyderco of all time is...the next one that Sal, Eric & crew are working on???

Okay, maybe Military, but until it's ambi-friendly it will never match up to the C90 in my opinion.

Personally, the smooth frn is pretty classy, but obviously not everyone agrees. I wouldn't mind a micarta version, though - black and red linen or another multicolored one so that the handle grooves can show off the layers. ZDP-189 or Super Blue steel.

To me, it's the Stretch II CF/ZDP.
Make this one w/ a S90V blade, and I'll quit buying other knives.

couldn't help put in my 2 cent opinion. got to be for me the MILITARY. cuts like a laser, locks up solid, nice ergonomics, comfortable carry and USA made. i can find positives in all my knives [ZT's, kershaw's, other spydies, etc] but that military just feels RIGHT. also a sucker for that digi-camo. must be the veteran in me. thanks and best regards to all.
