I like a lot of things about the forum, but briefly I like the content, the camaraderie and I like helping people appreciate and learn about some of the best knives ever produced. The people here are very friendly for an internet forum.
I like that Spyderco knives are made to cut, but only with the blade, not the handle. I bought my first Rescue over 15 years ago. They're ergonomic and always have features that make sure you can access, open, use, close and store the knife without hurting yourself, others or other equipment you might be around. It took me a while to get over the looks, but I finally appreciated the knives and understood why they were created how they were. I remember a time about 11 years ago, I bought a Military and a BM 710 at the same time. I liked the looks of the BM so much better that I sold the Military without really giving it a chance. About 3 years after that, I understood the Military and have had at least one (usually on me) ever since. Now I have 3 of them and many more to keep them company.
All of that being said, I'm as much of a fan of the company and ownership as I am of the knives. I like the attitudes that Sal and all employees I've ever met have had. I also like that Spyderco is willing to take risks and push the envelope with regards to designs and materials. I love the concept of the Mule Team project and the fact that if people whine long enough, that sprint runs can and do arise.
I'm a real fan of all of Spyderco!
