Very generous of you.

I haven't been here a long time. Returned to knife collecting (ok, accumulating ;) ) a few years ago. After trying several brands, I realized I was rarely ever dissappoited by a Spyderco purchase and found myself drawn more and more to them.

The forum is a great source of information and ideas.

This forum is great because of the learning experience, the people, and the interactions.
Spyderco knives, in my mind, are the best out there. Ergonomics, quality, materials, and the round hole are pretty much perfect.

Thanks for the GAW!

Hi Jack,
That is the Adventura (now discontinued). It was the 2005 Forum Knife created by a forum member Dialex. It is one of my favorite knives

Thanks for the chance:

I LOVE the forum because the community is by far the best, if I spent the same time on other knife forums I'd probably lose my mind due to all the arguing and bad behaviour. *coughbladeforumscough*

I like Spyderco's because of the hole, the ergonomics, the price point and THE SPRINT RUNS IN SUPER-AWESOME STEELS!
I love the company because they really listen to the customers and seriously, where else can you chat with the founder of a big production knife company about incoming sprint runs and new models? :D

Super tough, and reliable knives that i can depend on. Also the SFO is only 20 mins from where I live. I always find myself staying and chatting with someone at the SFOR for at least 45 minutes every time i go. Also there's something to be said for the Sypderco forum community! What an awesome group of people!!

This is one of the best sites for Spyderco information. I've never had a Spyderco knife that I thought wasn't worth more than I paid for it. Spyderco is a stand up company that makes great knives at a great price and stands behind everything they make. That includes Sal and all the employees.

I appreciate the forums for the knowledge I have gained and for the friends I have made along the way. I check the forums almost daily just to see what's cookin'. (Nice Brookie there SUDS!) Everytime I've ever called Spyderco for any reason, I always come away satisfied. I love how Sal responds to our posts and even asks our opinion. That is very special indeed. Image

Really great replies and pictures :D All you folks love the forum and the knives for sure.

I will ask though that you only submit one post only to the thread! I don't want to have to eliminate anyone from the lottery :( I just want to give everyone an equal chance :)

Nonprophet, jackknife I think you got a pm if you didn't (I had to to relog in), pm me so we can eliminate the numbers you don't want. Evil d, you eliminated your own, thanks :)

Believe me I know how tempting and automatic it sometimes is to want to post back to the same thread....

I've been on this forum for a little while and I've found everyone here to be helpful, kind, and knowledgeable. I appreciate the Spyderco product simply because I can have all the newest and greatest steels for a fraction of the cost of their competitors. It's really impressed me how devoted everyone here is to this product, and I am proud to say I'm a Spyderco nut. :)

Charlie, thanks for the giveaway post!

I appreciate the forum because it has really helped me make the right choices in my Spyderco purchases. The expertise of the members and employees is invaluable.

What do I like about Spyderco knives? Everything. The ergonomics, functionality, quality of build and materials.

Spyderco is a rare company that listens to its consumers, and constantly improves on nearly perfect designs in my opinion. The fact that Sal is here all the time and involved is amazing. And customer service is second to none.

Wow, awesome of you, really appreciate the chance...

Say why you appreciate the forum - I love this forum because everyone is always helpful and friendly. Plus it is a wonderful place to gain knowledge and to be tempted with all the wonderful pictures of knives that I now "need". :)

Have 10 posts or more - Had to check, but yup. I've been here a while, but don't always log in and post, but I do stop by and read almost daily.

Say what you like about Spyderco knives, and what you appreciate about the company that builds them. - this could take a while, but I'll try to keep it short. I love that they are all about function. Quite simply, they work and work well. I like that they are willing to experiment with different designs, different collaborations, different steels, etc. I also love that they listen to their customers suggestions and that they are so accessible to the public (they are very active here and on other forums).

Post a pic if you can - glad to...

dbcad thanks for the thread and the opportunity.

Say why you appreciate the forum
I have had the utmost pleasure of learning about Spyderco from a great group of people who are helpful, kind and have a passion for sharp things with a hole in the blade.

Have 10 posts or more
Check

Say what you like about Spyderco knives, and what you appreciate about the company that builds them.
There is nothing I don't like about these knives. They were built with little thought to aesthetics and given every consideration to the end user. But I will say up front I love the way they look. I love the blade shapes, the hole and every quirky facet that makes the knife a Spyderco. More over, the philosophy and ethics of a company that build from their heart, listen to their customers and participate in thoughts and idea's puts Sal and Spyderco over the top in my books and I have yet to find another production company that gives the user that much thought and consideration.

Post a pic if you can

Just wanted to say what a very generous chap dbcad is - well done Sir! :D As much as I'd love an Endura, I won't enter into the draw because I feel that it deserves to go to someone that can EDC it properly.

But I do really appreciate the friendly and informed chat this forum brings to members - all with the support of Sal & the Spydie-people - it's like one big happy family. I think that innovative, modern design based around excellence in form & function, combined with the care and attention Sal lavishes on his customers, are the main reasons that I enjoy Spyderco knives so much :)

And here's a couple of photos - of the 'twins' :D

I enjoy the forum because it is a place to discuss products from a company that I hold very dearly to when the rest of the inhabitants of the house would like to change the subject for a bit!

I enjoy the ergonomics of the handles, trying various blade steels, and designs that were born from the intent to use their products.

I have more than 10 posts.

I appreciate Sal's interaction with the forum, knowledge he shares, humble spirit and the ability to cut hanging rope with a Ladybug(3). :) And the Spyderco crew for working with Sal, Gail and Eric to make it all happen!

This is the last antlered whitetail deer I harvested. The knife is a Spyderco Bill Moran FB01 that was reground by Tom Krein. This year I'm using an FB02 that was fresh out of the box from the factory.

I definitely appreciate this forum for the friendliness of the people, the quality of the information, the participation of the Spyderco owner and workers... couldn't ask for more.

Ever since I was about 15 a started carrying my 1st Gen Delica to high school everyday (where I broke multiple clips on the door jambs of the classrooms and received free replacements each unfortunate time) I have been a Spyderco fan. Other knives have come and gone, but the Spydies were always #1 in my heart and on my gift list to buy for other people.

The participation and constant quality improvement from Spyderco are top-notch and I dare say I will continue to purchase these knives as long as Spyderco and I are around.

Hey thanks for the opportunity dbcad!

I appreciate this forum because I've learned almost everything I know about knives from here.

I like that Spyderco knives are built with function in mind first, although I also like the looks of them. Form follows function. I like that the company puts its customers first, and builds their knives based on our feedback.

I like a lot of things about the forum, but briefly I like the content, the camaraderie and I like helping people appreciate and learn about some of the best knives ever produced. The people here are very friendly for an internet forum.

I like that Spyderco knives are made to cut, but only with the blade, not the handle. I bought my first Rescue over 15 years ago. They're ergonomic and always have features that make sure you can access, open, use, close and store the knife without hurting yourself, others or other equipment you might be around. It took me a while to get over the looks, but I finally appreciated the knives and understood why they were created how they were. I remember a time about 11 years ago, I bought a Military and a BM 710 at the same time. I liked the looks of the BM so much better that I sold the Military without really giving it a chance. About 3 years after that, I understood the Military and have had at least one (usually on me) ever since. Now I have 3 of them and many more to keep them company.

All of that being said, I'm as much of a fan of the company and ownership as I am of the knives. I like the attitudes that Sal and all employees I've ever met have had. I also like that Spyderco is willing to take risks and push the envelope with regards to designs and materials. I love the concept of the Mule Team project and the fact that if people whine long enough, that sprint runs can and do arise.

I'm a real fan of all of Spyderco!
