Look at my post too. I said I was getting one. I have had one on pre-order for some time and just added the Blue Manix too. I've always loved the Walker styled Spydies this one has me very excited!

The race is on as to whom will be the first to post pics!

Are these two sprint runs or regular production?

I personally think it looks like a bloated Bob-T slipit, not a flattering image at all. That's my opinion, they could have done something else to define it from the Bob-T.

This model existed long, long before the Bob T. Slip-It did. Classic Spyderco model and design by Walker.

Not your cup of tea, that's cool, but there is some history with this model.

Why do you think the first Sage model was dedicated to Micheal Walker? This man is, in my opionion, what started people designing other locking mechanisms.

Regarding the blade steel of the Blue Manix 2, it's S30V, confirmed by Kristi. Regardless, I put my pre-order in. The Walker is nice but I need to get the Gayle Bradley first. This year is starting off with a bang!

I like the blade on new Terzuola more as well, but for CF Walker is Spyderco superclassic. I cannot afford one made by Klotzi, this is a chance. Price is little puzzling for me. May be it is made in Taiwan, then I hope it is the same maker, who made Terzuola.

I'm don't think it is Taiwan because the Japanese don't send their steel to other countries, which is why the Taiwan models have been made with American steel. Since the blade it zdp-189 my bet is it is made in Seki.

But it's an absolute steal at $115!

I'm aware of that, but the original model doesn't look anything close to this new sprint run. If it did I would buy one in a heartbeat.

I saw several kitchen knives made in China with VG1, Kershaw made quite a few knives in US with ZDP-189 and SG2. Spyderco in the past made knives in Golden using GIN1 and ATS34.

I think the new UK Pen Lightweights are GIN-1 and made in USA. At least that's what the 2010 catalog would lead me to believe.

Ah. Now if I could see a sprint of my beloved Blackhawk.

I'm pretty sure the foliage green CTS-XHP sprint is not a full flat grind.

The Walker is actually quite small.

Hmm, to me it looks exactly the way the original did, but with CF for the handle.

I'm not a huge FFG fan, so as much as I dig the blue G-10 I may wait for the hollow ground CTS model.

I concur...

This is the new Walker Sprint Run (image courtesy of K.C.)

This is the original Klotzi made C22 (image courtesy of Spydie.nl)

And this is my C37 Walker Lightweight purchased in 1996.
Worked hard for over 10 years and lovingly retired now.
This was my second ever Spyderco and holds a special place on my
shelf.

Aside from the swedge details, the profile looks like it has remained true.

After seeing that Manix the Walker doesn't look that special. You're right though, that is a good deal on the Walker.

Walker, Meerkat, and Zowada all brought back. What a great time for sprint runs. What'll be next? Large Dyad? Shabaria? Toad???
