Agreed. Ti on the lock side, and G-10 on the other side is functionally amazing. Two slabs of ti just don't provide enough grip.A.M. wrote:I would buy one full ti or ti/G-10 regardless...
But I would prefer ti/G-10. Full ti handles just don't provide the grip I like especially after owning multiple Strider SnGs and an SMF. Ti/G-10 is the utilmate compromise between strength and tactile ergos IMHO....
I guess I would just have to see how the Ti is finished to make a judgement like this. If it has some sort of design or milling machined into the slabs it could be very grippy, take for instance the Umnumzaan from Crk.Buzzbait wrote:Agreed. Sal, don'tcha think that infi sandwiched between sheets of unobtanium S37V , fused/welded then hammer forged in a research nuclear reactor at MIT, and finished using the diamond blade process would be more appropriate? Quench should be as near absolute zero as possible. RC should be about 71 at this time. We'll make it out of CPM S-unobtanium 37-V.

That sounds great, as long as the street price is <$200.The Mastiff wrote:Sal, don'tcha think that infi sandwiched between sheets of unobtanium S37V , fused/welded then hammer forged in a research nuclear reactor at MIT, and finished using the diamond blade process would be more appropriate? After sitting in storage for 37 years ( the half life of some of the nastier radioactive elements), these knives would be sent to Krein's ancestors for a special grinding process.
Top it off with a lead lining below the titanium framelock and you would have "the" knife. It would be sent out to collectors in a special, lead lined, tin box. Joe
Oh, Sal...sal wrote:We'll make it out of CPM S-unobtanium 37-V.

Naturally, while having a nice, soft glow and being warm to the touch at the same time. Now that's progress!Hi Joe,
I bet it would do a good job on sheetrock.
