Not sure what you're asking. It isn't the cheapest Spyderco I own. It's a great knife though!

Well for me its the D2 Paramillie . I sometimes think Sal designed this specifically for me! It's unbelievable how well this fits my EDC needs. The ergonomics suit my hands perfectly. The D2 blade can handle the constant use with out needing to be sharpened every other day, and I can quickly open and close it with one hand, while leaning off a 20ft high ladder with the wind howling and the rain pelting down.
The only other knife I need to get now is another D2PM, as I'd be truly lost without one.

Right now its the Centofante 3 but that will hopefully change after the holidays.

Actually, it is the burgundy FRN sprint run with VG-10 steel. It's a great knife. About the same size as an Endura, but the handle is contoured to provide a very generous hand guard. Also, I like colored handles. My prior EDC was a Native. It developed some lateral play, so I tried to tighten the pin with a vise. Unfortunately, it worked too well and now the knife is very difficult to open with one hand. I'm hoping with some hard use it will loosen back up a little.

Regarding the Tenacious, I've come to view it as the poor man's Para-military (which I am). I love the G-10 handles and ffg blade. While 8etc may not stand up to the more modern steels like VG10 and S30V, AUS8 is perfectly respectable and was once used widely in higher end knives. I will also say that while I was initially turned off by the country of origin, handling the knife and feeling the fit and finish quickly converted me.

Thats right they are using the VG-10, My EDC is a native,I bought it a couple months ago,How long did it take for yours to develop play in the blade? "The force is strong with this one"

I guess it's all relative. It's in the same general range as the Stretch II, S90V Mili and the Superhawk (and significantly less than Sebies and such!)

I generally carry two, one small, one larger. Small one is almost always a Kiwi. Love those little guys and have a rather extensive flock of them. :D Large one, presently is either a Stretch or a C83 Schempp Persian, although I just sent an R2 out to STR that's destined to come back looking something like this "fotochop" mock-up...

Always liked the deep choil of the R2, but was not thrilled with the handle. Not a fan of aluminum, and the lower edge contour left something to be desired. This one will have Curly Koa scales over ti liners. The lower edge of handle wiill be reshaped to be more like the Stretch and the blade ground to splinter picker tip.

Wow, Deacon, that modified R2 concept looks awesome.

My favorites (lately) have been Native S30V, and Cricket SE or Kiwi when I want a smaller knife.
