I voted for Sal's design (lil Temp ROCKS :D ) but i also would like to see some more MJ design. i vote for a 3 inch SD blade with a strong lock and G10 and S30V. I would buy at least 2

Or maybe there could be some MBC Byrd :p It would be sweet IMO.

I'm going to go with Sal&Eric on this one-I've only carried the Scorpius for a couple of weeks, but it has replaced my primary EDC Merlin for my good hand jeans pocket position. beautiful, aggressive cutter (I have the SE from the factory special currently going on) and if you study Dim Mak or pressure point work then the nicely rounded "glass breaker" is self-explanatory.

THIS...

I don't know about a Byrd but the Lil'Temp is the best knife ever. The Lil'Temp could use some tweaking but is my favorite big-little knife.

I've never had a MJ knife but they sound funtion over form to a fault. I like that in my tools.

This!
Not really all that slick ;)

Seems to be an old thread brought back to life... I like it!

I would obviously like to see some more stuff from Sal, but I also like what both Fred and Chad do. The Street Beat is one of my personal favorites and I also like Chads (non-Spyderco :eek :) fixed blade subcom. The Subcom is the only other knife other then Spyderco I would consider carrying, the only other Spyderco that I even own.

It might get more pocket time if it was produced better. The design is great but the production knife was not as refined as I would like. The steel could be better, and general quality of the blade could be better. It was not sharp at all out of the box and the sharpening was very poor and uneven. I think it would have made a better Spyderco because of the quality standards are so much higher. As a designer Chad is great but like every good collaboration needs to have production quality to truly shine. Spyderco really is the best.

As long as it's an MBC from Golden, I'll get one. Love the materials on the USA models.

A new wharncliffe folding MBC knife would be excellent. I don't care who makes it -- but Janich engineered a masterpiece the last time.

If you guys started making Yojimbos in ZDP-189 (perhaps with a wave feature and a ball-bearing lock?) I would buy several. I've already got two P'kals and a P'kal trainer. I'd do it again for the yoj 2.0.

My vote goes to Fred Perrin, for both beautiful and functional designs.

I voted yojimbo not thinking. I really want this knife but I heard Janich is working with another company with a similar design as the yo. If I could vote again, Sal and Eric would definately get the vote.

Would love to see a folding Spyderco designed by Fred Perrin.

Who is Janich working with?

I voted for him because I like the Yoj best of the MBC but a Shivworks fixed blade would be darn cool and a great match for all the lucky ducks with PKals.

Perrin is awesome.

I think there are 2 ways to go with an MBC knife. 1 and the way Spyderco is particularly good at is the street legal sub 3 incher that also makes a fantastic EDC. That is particularly useful because you are way more likely to have something if you find it handy. 2 a larger possibly fixed fighter that is 100% the best fighting knife you can make regardless of how it looks or laws in some countries. Either a fixed or LARGE folder.
A Spyderco version of the REKAT Warrior for example. Myself I would like to see a full size fighter and matching trainer because Spyderco already has several good smaller MBC knives. However another nice little one would not make me cry. I have a blue PE Dodo enroute.

Of course I don't do MBC so it really doesn't matter for me.[/QUOTE]

I own a Chinook and a Atr,but I am going to use a .45 if I need a weapon. With that said I would like a sprint run of the original Chinook.I really like the looks and the beefy blade.I also wish they would build the Chief, that would be really killer. :D
