Thanks Sal, that will be appreciated. I hope it comes off because if the lack of availability of the Tenacious in the UK is anything to go by, it'll be quite a while before anyone has them in the UK unless they order them from the USA.

Well, I wanted a grey and it was out so I bought a red, white and blue. I'll buy a grey later.

Yeah! Baliyo. I'm excited for this. Can't decide if it will make classwork easier or harder to concentrate on.

Is the reason they don't come in black because they look more like an actual balisong? I'm confused why spyderco wouldn't make a black one. That would BY FAR be the most popular color IMO.

The gray model will do the job of a black one without the "ninja" look.

The BaliYo is not a trainer for buttefly knives (you would cut yourself if you practiced with a BalYo and then went to a live butterfly knife). It is a substitute for the butterfly knife that can be carried and used safely and legally.

Is there any update on the secure payment page? When I come to that stage of the checkout I get the following message in my browser...

http://www.baliyo.com uses an invalid security certificate.

The certificate is only valid for spyderco.com

(Error code: ssl_error_bad_cert_domain)

Previously the page would load but it wasn't secure.

Looks like I also missed my chance to get one from the first production run.

@Sal: When will the BaliYo be available from dealers in the US?
When will it be available in Europe?

Thank you,
Christian

Security has been sorted. No problems.

Hi Christian,

We've only had a few dealers inquire. We'll be shipping to them when full production is going, end of August.

We should have a few going to UK and Netherlands this week.

We're just now informing dealers and distributors that they exist.

Thanks for the quick reply, Sal.

Since I live in Germany and don't want to wait much longer, I'll probably order from baliyo.com when the next batch comes in :)

My R-W-B one arrived about half an hour ago. Video is great, and I still have hope that I will prove well enough coordinated to learn a couple of those tricks. :D

Hi Malak,

I think we'll have the overseas shipping issue sorted by tomorrow.

Thanx Paul,

Everybody BaliYo's, even I can do a few tricks. I have confidence in your patience and persistence.

I note with dismay that the first BaliYo has appeared on Ebay at an inflated price. :(

Hi, Seems that there is stock back, not any grey though. Has anyone managed to get the international postage below US$50?

Cheers
