Well, thats how they present these knives-i accidentely watched the Cold steel dvd more than once, and its affected me.
I dont like telephone directories, they're so thick and heavy, and i dont feel the need to punch a knife through a carhood, but Lynn Thompson, makes it look like its just fine.
I guess the question is, punch through carhood or telephone directory?
I think telephone directory is safer.

well i've got one too. and i think it's gorgeous. even though the vast majority of my collection are :spyder: , i love the shape of the cold steel Ti and i *love* the fact that the handles are titanium.
i don't care if it's a good knife or not. i don't use 99% of my collection - i just love looking at them and playing with them :D .
i don't see what's wrong with asking opinions about another brand on this site either - although you must understand you may get some biased replies

out of all the folders from Cold Steel I think it's one of their best ones.
it's a nice homage to the Italian Classic Stiletto.

spyderskin -
Try a snap opening by pressing on the closed guard at the back of
the handle & flicking your wrist!
Now I've gotta start carrying mine ( zy lite )

I carry my Endura (SE) and a 5 inch Voyager (SE). My Endura was my primary
knife, then I misplaced it in the house. Then I started ordering Cold Steel.
I have 1 folder and 3 fixed blades. I still love my Endura (broken clip and all)
but Cold Steel is just fine also. A buddy of my ordered the zytel Ti-lite. It's
a decent knife.

I have a 6 inch Ti lite also. I had STR do a slight mod for me. I wanted a more sure wave action from the pocket, so I had him cut into the quillion to make it more of a hook. I get more positive catch from the pocket. I agree with the ti 6 being a great kubaton in the closed position. I do not carry it much. I use it more for a teaching prop now then anything. I pulled it out of the bag and handled it a little after a class this week.
