Guess who picked up a WE finally? This guy. Ended up paying $425 for a $500 setup with a base, 4 stones(8 grits) and a strop(2 grits).

I may have gotten a legit Hungarian for under 60, I'll post when it arrives if it checks out.

Hungarian is an impressive piece, and actually a great user IMO.

I have an authentic one, post some pics will tell you if it is legit and if it is man you lucked out in CTS-XHP it cant be beat for a gentleman’s folder.

This may or may not qualify as a crazy deal but I wanted to share that I purchased a set of hard to find discontinued Spyderco 701 Profile stones SPY-701MF and the seller has two sets left. I know these are of interest and difficult to come by as this is the first time I have seen them in years.

Just so you know the Seller will accept offers my set came to $77.53 with shipping From the UK. Nearly $20.00 was for shipping, so I figure $57.00 for both the Brown and White Stones is not so bad as It comes in under MSRP of $69.00.

Anyone know what the stones were sold for when they were available?

I paid $60.00 including shipping for a new set of 701 Profile stones last year from a seller in the US. Like you said HARD TO FIND. I looked for years and would've jumped on the current listing.

Thanks Doeswhateveraspidercan, I grabbed a set. It's acceptable to bring the sharpmaker on a freight train for setting up in a hotel while away from home, but it should be really nice to have something more travel friendly. I didn't even know these stones existed!

Not to mention they’re all on backorder...

It feels like the gravy train has ran dry for most places... We were getting 15-20% coupons every other week there for a while.

Now, I'm sitting here NOT trying to explain my newest purchase to my wife.

Same here! Been wanting to pick up a certain WE knife for months now that I will not pay full price for, but the eBay coupons are non existent these days.

That's a bummer! I tried the coupon and it didn't work. I was waiting for that to pick up a Native Salt. They didn't have it listed anyway, but still...

I still see a 10% off discount for this month- MARCH10. I used the 15% off coupon to get a Mantra 2 :)
