Dang, I missed out on the Manix party. The LW SPY27 is my typical camp and hiking partner.

Well the latest got the nod this weekend.

Still carrying this one. I'm on month 3 or 4 by now.

Back in early 2020, this model was one of my most carried knives during my serrated-edges-for-a-year challenge. I did modify mine into more of a wharncliffe, but I really enjoyed it — it’s really well made.I might have to get a G10 Cara Cara and do a blade swap. Nice pic, too 👍

Despite my complicated relationship with the N5, it keeps finding its way into my pocket when heading out on unspecified adventures.

As far as grills, gratings and signs… I think that train left the station before I ever got on. But anyhow, I ran into this one today:

Has to be a Spydermonkey as far as I can tell.

Have always adored the REX45 Manix 2 LW since it was my first sprint run purchase from Spyderco. But the pinned construction makes me worry too much about corrosions and other things, so I don't get to enjoy the REX45 much.

After playing with the REX76 Mule Team for the past few days, I really want to use the REX45..... so with a lot of patience and care, I did the blade swap with the M390. ;)

Image
Nice job on the swap! I tried prying my S110V apart years ago but stopped short due to worries of breaking the FRCP.

For my Rex 45 LW, I went another route:

To return to the theme of the thread:
I carried my S110V Manix LW and S90V smooth green G10 Native today.
Have: old S30V Native, HAP40 Endura, ZDP DF2, S110V Manix LW, Cru-wear Para 3, SE H1 DF2, S90V Native 5, K390 Urban, SE Pac Salt, P.I.T.S., XHP Manix LW, SB Caly 3, B70P, PMA11, K03, Kapara, REX 45 Military, 154CM Manix LW, Swick, AEB-L Urban, KC Cruwear Manix, M390 PM2, Mantra 2, CruCarta Shaman, M390 Manix, K390 Police 4, S90V Manix LW, Rex 45 Manix LW, 20CV Manix, Rex 45 Lil’Native, Shaman, C208GP, Cruwear Manix, Cruwear Manix, M4 Chief, Z-max!!!

I'm happiest with Micarta and Tool Steel.

Top four in rotation: K390 + GCM PM2, ZCarta Shaman, Crucarta PM2, K390 + GCM Straight Spine Stretch.
