Is it just me or is there some kind of correlation between Spyderco ownership and being able to cook up some mean grub?

BFK talk to me about that dangler for you SAK. Heck while we at it what SAK you rolling with?
I like a lot of SAKs but I have been EDC carrying a Vic Craftsman for a while. It has basically all the same tools as my first gen leatherman wave but only weighs about 145 grams instead of about 225 for the wave. I have been really enjoying it but for many people it is a little large since it has six layers. The pliers are not as good as needlenose but for me they work well. It has a cool assortment on the back side including the chisel and small technicians screwdriver as well as the usual phillips head, parcel hook and reamer. I really like having a file, scissors, metal saw and wood saw as well as pliers. This is my favorite model but at times I carry others that are smaller.

The clip is homemade out of a picture hanger from home depot. They were like 3 for a dollar and just a little bending to snap one piece off and to close the hook part and then a quick smoothing of the edge with a file where I snapped the extra off and bam, 33 cent dangler. I am gonna get a Tec accessories p7 dangler soon but they are just kind of pricey. They currently have a 2 pack on massdrop that I may pick up. The p7 is spring tempered steel and the picture hanger is some garbage metal. I only had to bend it back and forth a couple times and the piece i removed snapped right off. It is plenty strong if not being bent and has held up now for many months without issue except that the brass plating is worn off. Over all it is well worth the 33 cent price and seems to work well.

I have more recently swapped the split ring for a single link of some small chain that I had because the chain has a 90 degree rotation built into it which makes the knife carry better in my back left pocket where i usually keep it. I just used pliers to open up the chain link to get it on the SAK and on the clip and squeezed it shut again.

The clip is discreet and here it is in my front right pocket with my delica in my watch pocket.

Some gratuitous pics that have already been posted earlier in this thread. I know I am talking SAKs but am trying to make sure to include pics with Spydies too. I think Victorinox and Spyderco are two of my favorites because they both offer so much value for your dollar. Either one of them is money well spent.

I think it has just been too long since you have eaten any real food. :D

I am a foodie so i must ask. Don't the locals have any good food over there? I don't know much about the cuisine in that region. Probably kind of a mix of Indian food and middle eastern food. Hummus and curry and kabobs and stuff.

I do especially enjoy the food pics and I think since we are all crazy Spydie nuts that we look for uses for our knives and often that is in the kitchen. My wife is hard on our knives so usually my pocket knife is the sharpest knife in the kitchen. I find tomatoes to be an excellent measure of sharpness so I like to take pictures of knives with tomatoes.

Dice, with a desert ironwood scale made by my new best friend, Steve Ketchen :D (spketch on BF). I recently asked Steve to outfit all my Spydie flippers with his awesome scales. I'll be sharing more pics of his work over the next few days (maybe as a new thread dedicated to recent mods). As you can see, he is a true artist and master of his craft, and very pleasant to correspond with. Cheers to you Steve! Radioactive :)

Enjoying my green 204p para2 today. It is kind of strange but I never carry it because it is my favorite knife. Usually just fondle it and then grab my s30v satin camo model that I don't mind beating on.

I did the same thing for about a month...and then broke down to try it and haven't looked back. I STILL haven't had to sharpen my 204P, and it is now easily my favourite stainless steel. S30V was my favourite for ~10 years, but 204P (And M390 I'm sure due to vast similarities) are in a different league. Now I carry my S30V definitely less than 1/4 as often, and probably less than that.

Thinking about tomorrow now...it's been a long while since I've carried my OD Goddard so it's going to be my main EDC tomorrow and maybe the next day.

Oh sweet Jesus! I want a Domino done up like that. Steve has him some skills. I vote for a new thread with all these mods in it.

BFK as far as the food over here they rock a lot of Curry and Kabobs like you would think and rice with EVERYTHING. Spicy is the order of the day and if you can't scoop it up with Naan or eat it with your fingers forget about it. Naan being flat bread like a thin tortilla. Shomlay is this drink they have that is mostly water and yogurt mixed together. Good stuff.

I love Odells. We have a lot of great beer in Colorado and for many years I believe we have led the charge in craft beer with California and Oregon and a couple others doing very well too. There are some amazing breweries springing up now all over the country, a lot of them in the midwest. I am a bit of a beer snob and try every beer I can get my hands on and I do not think there is a brewery that I like as much as Odells. Sure, there are some breweries that do some more eccentric brews and some that have some crazy stuff and even some that have beers that I absolutely love but in the end I believe Odells has the best product line and every beer they brew is a home run. I love the summer seasonal Saint Lupulin even more and it is my favorite beer hands down. Sadly it is gone for the winter but thankfully as we return to Mountain Standard Time we also return to this wonderful beer called Mountain Standard. Clever name for a seasonal brew here in Colorado. :)

It is official. She is out of the box for good. Thanks Branden! :) I am gonna finally start enjoying this thing. My S110v forum Native is the only other knife I have been reluctant to use. It will see daylight someday too. Just don't know when.

Am I the only one on here who carries a balance, I love this thing. It is great as a small utility knife for opening packages and other light easy edc tasks. I used to carry a cricket a lot and this has been filling that role for a while. I really wish the Equilibrium had come in carbon fiber too. Everybody (especially my non-knife friends) that sees my balance thinks it is super cool. It is ground so insanely thin you can barely see the micro-bevel but it is very sturdy and the ergos are great. It is very innocuous and you can pull it out almost anywhere plus the blade is so small and the handle just disappears into your hand so it is difficult to even notice I am holding a knife. The angle of it makes it great for cutting clamshell packages open and the blade is just long enough for the job and not so long that if you slip you are wildly swinging a large blade. Those thermo-molded clamshell packages are just plain dangerous to open and this blade excels at it. Mr. Schempp truly has an amazing understanding of how knives work and his designs often blow me away. He truly puts function over form but in the end makes amazing beautiful knives that just flat out perform. I am kind of anxious to see the frontier.
