This has been my EDC since its release and I love it. CruWear is slightly less stainless than I'd prefer for EDC, but Ill life with it as the steel is great overall. Compared to a Manix, the Ayoob feels like 1/2 the knife in your pocket which I appreciate.

This knife made me fall in love with back lock, which I didnt like much before this. My next unicorn is the Centofante 4 with the Wharncliffe blade (PM me if anyone wants to sell one to a good, appreciative home) but the 4 is rare it seems. All I see on fleabay is the 3.

I've been trying to find another PE Ayoob and send it for regrind to a semi-tanto tip (you can draw a straight tanto-style line at the tip and still remain protected by the scales without getting too obtuse of an angle. I think this would look cool and improve the EDC slicing with a less-lifted tip during normal slicing strokes). blasphemy!

Also there is a factory 2nd on ebay right now for $220 which is pretty affordable now days, just a heads up

@ JD Spydo
I also think that especially through this thread a new generation of fans has emerged.
Spyderco has been with me for more than 20 years. Quite a few models have passed through my hands. However, these two are my favorite.
I also wish for a new edition of this ingenious design. The need is there and Spyderco is one of the few manufacturers who are very closely connected with their followers and whose wishes are taken into account. Thank you again at this point for this Spyderco.

How is it working out? I’m getting a couple knives reground. I feel like the saber grind is a bit of a strange choice for this knife.

The stock blade is among the thickest BTE Spydercos I’ve encountered. The regrind certainly improves slicing and works better for my use. Plus the modification kills any resale value and immediately forced me to actually use the knife.

Who is doing regrinds for you? Most of the folks who I know of have closed their books. I've been wanting to send a few out for regrinds.

I do indeed hope you are correct in your speculation that this thread may have spurred on a new generation of fans for this incredible C-60 Ayoob model. The improvements/changes that Spyderco implemented along with the great addition of Cruwear Blade Steel has certainly made it a super improved version to say the least.

I'm also hoping at some point that Massad Ayoob himself would consider doing another design at some point ( if he so desires).

The limited uses I've put my two C-60 Ayoob Sprint Runs through has made me love this great model even more than ever. I do think that we haven't seen the last of this great design.

Somehow missed your question five days ago, sorry for the delayed response. It was indeed BGM as has been suggested already. Quick and quality/symmetrical work; I recommend him.

Personally I've never had any of my knives custom ground or grind-altered. But for those of you who are interested in that type of service I've heard from about 3 guys I really trust that Tom Krein does an excellent job on custom grinds or regrinds. I've seen Mr. Krein's work on a couple of older C-60 Ayoob models and I will say it did look very interesting.

If someone could convince me that doing a complete re-grind on any of my blades would increase it's performance I would certainly look into it. As far as all my C-60 Ayoob models go I personally tend like them just the way they are. But again I have heard for a long time that Tom Krein's work is as good as it gets.

PlainEdge... https://www.americanedgeknives.com/spyd ... n-c60gpgy/

Edit: Out of stock
Again we can't thank you enough for helping people find dealers that have had the Sprint Run C-60 Cruwear Ayoob available. But I do think that finding any more of them at this time is becoming getting extremely difficult. I doubt if there are any more than a half dozen out there still on the market ( if even that many).

As successful as this Sprint Run was I do hope that Spyderco might consider doing one more batch of these gems. I think it's safe to say that it would be slam dunk if they did. But it's been a fabulous Sprint Run to say the least. I do thank everyone that helped to make it happen.

There are still quite a few at European dealers. Not cheap.

Could you give us a couple of dealer's names in Europe that have them in stock? Any information would be highly appreciated. Even if they are pricey I'm willing to bet they are probably cheaper than ones listed in secondary markets here in the USA.

So I guess it's fair to say that there are no longer any available with dealers here in the USA?

Sure, for instance a few PE are in stock at:
https://www.coutellerie-tourangelle.com/
https://www.knifestore.nl/
That are both ship overseas.

There also a few in stock (PE & SE) at two of my local dealers here in Czechia, but they are more expensive than those above and I’m not sure about international shipping (but if someone is really in need, I may be able to arrange that)
