Well, while we’re wishing and hoping, I’ll add a Bodacious in 3V. Not too crazy about Black G-10 or the 25 different shades of FDE, but honestly I’d take a 3V in any color!

∆Which brings up the point we need a Bodacious Salt
A Salt and 15V Bodacious are really all I'm asking for these days. There's lots of other ideas like a tanto Military 2 but if I just got those two options I'd really be at peace with my knife needs.
I read somewhere, they had a 15V Bodacious prototype at the Bladeshow. It's third hand information so take it with a grain of salt.

I've heard that from a couple people now but I'm trying to not build myself up for a letdown, it's entirely possible they made that display knife before the 15V well dried up. If it doesn't happen then that's a real bummer, hopefully a MagnaCut Salt isn't out of the question.
I would think so, I am a little suppressed we have not seen more steels for it. Got my first one, a SPY-27, and I absolutely love it. Even though it's the same 3.5" blade size of my Manix, it cuts like it's a 4" knife with all the extra edge length it has. Its sad but now i never carry my GB2 in favor of my Bodacious.

Sure would appreciate a pulse check on the SE Bodacious. I just got my monthly "your order is still being processed" from KnifeCenter so I got curious and check my account and saw that this preorder is now over a year old as of 06/16/2024. I normally don't even bother with preorders especially for regular production models but it did get me a Native 5 Salt way faster than most so I figured it couldn't hurt. I'm a patient man but I didn't expect to be waiting over a year.
I'm tempted by the SE Bodacious. I also have been burned by "preorder and wait forever", so I will wait before ordering.

Different steels (from the standard S30V) don't really tempt me.

A Bodacious LW is an immediate buy. I'd rather get both the PE and SE in LW, if I had a choice.

Hadn't thought about it like this until you said it, but pretty much same here.

Excluding sentimental attachments to some knives, I could probably sell all of them and be left with some flavor of a Bodacious, Military 2 and my Ayoob. I really hope the Bodacious is selling sell enough to justify more variants. All I can do is promise to do my part and buy whatever gets made as long as it's not some super weird handle/scale combo.

Yeah, OK, maybe i should buy the SPY27 version just to support Team Bodacious (and I really like the blue).

The Bodacious has redirected and focused my knife buying. It's very close to Sal designing a knife just for me. i just went through my "collection" (Plano storage box), and my three are the Bodacious, the Yojumbo, and the UKPK. I carry the UKPK when I'm wearing a suit, since it is very light, and not scary-looking. Which leads me to ask:

Is it possible to design a slip-joint Bodacious, or slip-joint mini-Bodacious? Either would be a wonderful companion to the compression-lock version.

Hi Hermit,

The Bodacious doesn't have a finger choil which is really a safety feature for Slipits.

Thanks, Sal! I certainly appreciate the role of the finger choil as a safety feature in the UKPK. You are using the finger choil to increase safety during use in slip joint designs, and my experience is that your design works very well.

So I guess I will grudgingly admit you are right in not making a Bodacious Slipit. I still want one, though. :smlling-eyes

The blue looks great on the Bodacious scales. Someone out there has good tastes when they made it…
