I have a Domino, it has the paper thin cheap washers under the bearings that fail, a blatant design flaw. Spyderco would not take responsibility for the issue years ago so I put it away and quit buying their knives. Got it out recently and tried to get the washers sent (if they have any). Their policy of not sending parts was given and would require me to spend possibly $30 or more to send the knife in for a part that will in all likely hood fail again. They never actually corrected the issue with the design. I will never buy another Spyderco product ever again and will let everyone know why.
I missed this post, but if anyone ever got something all wrong, man you have. I will go out on a limb here with you though...
You send me your knife I can and will rework it and get that knife all squared away for you, heck it's not all that bad we can't get it like it can be...

Hi,

I need to take apart my loved URBAN K390: it's very dirty and need to polish well the blade at the pivot point and so on.

But... the scale screw that pivot the blade is stuck with the opposite one, if I turn the screw, all pieces turn and so I cannot disassemble it to open the scales and polish the blade and all.
I've tried in different ways to force the opposite side of the screw just to unscrew it but no way I could, I ruined its head and it's stuck.

I do not ask to Spyderco to send a replacement part (I'm in Europe and I understand the difficulties...yes it could be wonderful to have here a knife store with the main replacemet part for the most sold Spydies, but I see it'only a dream :-) but I kindly ask for someone that could tell me....

...the specs of the screws I need to fix my problem that will be a broken screw after I will try to drill it: the only way I can think of the problem. I could try to search a smilar screw in some knife web store.

Thanks so much if someone will halp me to fix my much much appreciated Urban k390 Sprint Run, I do not want to live withou it :-)))

I now have 16 Spydercos, mostly Golden models. Never had a problem with any of them, until the latest one. I recently purchased a 15v Para 3 lw. The plan was to get new scales and clip for it. The only problem is the D barrel the clip screw goes into is stripped and spins with the screw. And one of the screws for the stop pin is stuck.

I really hate the idea of sending the knife in and risk it being lost/stolen. Oh, and having to pay for that risk on top of it. I'd like to find replacement screws and just drill out the ones that are stuck. Or just live with a knife that I can't take apart.
