So I started with taking the bump off part of the ricasso. Really bothered me on closing/ opening. It's more pm2 like now. Then moved on to the scales. They were much too slick! Much better now and not as hard to do as I thought.

The bump-ectomy makes a pretty dramatic change! Lightens up the look. Did you groove the oem scales? I saw your pic in another thread and thought they were Putman scales. Nice work!

Removing that bump made all the difference! So much better now. Yes I did do the scales myself. Here's some more pics. And a Native Chief I did.

Look mom, new pants! I've always loved this blade shape, one of Spyderco's finest IMO, but never bonded with the orange peel finish on the scales. So I reached out to @WValtakis on BF and asked him to knock down the orange peel and put on a bead blast/stonewash finish. This is the result...fabulous work. Thank you Chip!
Also I was on my way to deleting the ungainly large flipper tab, but I like flippers so I decided to first try reducing and reshaping it myself. Now it has a more balanced appearance and more importantly it works!
Plays nicely with the Swayback too.

Salt 1 boxcutter.
Nice! Adding a wave might make it even better :)
I've considered doing something similar with my Byrd Rescue. Was this intentional or making the best of an accident?

These are the only two anodized knives that I own -- a Chaparral and McBee. I anodized them myself with help from a buddy who does anodizing. Was very cool to learn to do this.
