That would be interesting! I'll still buy a plain-jane H-1 Spyderhawk, though!

By the way, where's JD been?

Just saw a photo of the original SpyderHawk. Yeah, I want one. H1 would be great too. :)

You think this is bad you should see some of the requests for knives Sal gets at the home forum. It's amazing. :) Joe
Did someone say H1 Spyderhawk? :D
YES! Loud and clear!
I just had to post this over here at the home forum, and thought that the H-1 Spyderhawk thread is the right one. :D

im sure by now sal and kristi know there is a definite interest for this h1 spyderhawk to make it into reality is anyone's guess. It would be nice though since I wasn't into knives when the first spyderhawks were out and didn't purchase any but hopefully things come full circle and Spyderco re-releases the spyderhawk in this H1 format

You and me, both, Genius. I've only been really into knives for a couple of years or so.

I use my Tasman salt everyday and would love a bigger version that fits my hands better. I'd buy at least two or three.

I will buy at least one SE. Heck, I may just buy a PE for that matter, but Sal's gotta get 'em made first. ;)

Sorry for my extended absense. My workplace has been nothing short of pure insanity here of late :(

I don't know where we are at this time as far as making progress with this project. But being the thread is being active I guess we are heading in the right direction. I'll try to get some time to read up this weekend.

Tell me though what would be wrong with using the original Spyderhawk handle? We are asking for a Spyderhawk with H-1 blade steel and for it to be available in plain edge and Spyderedge.

I would like to see both edges have a yellow handle like the Tasman and for it to have a different handle. But I'm also open to other suggestions as well.

OK I see that I have some catching up to do. Back to business :)

g10 h1 spyderhawk

id love a g10 handle but cost might make it easier to make the old FRN enudura 3 handle with the ambedextrious screw clip. An endura IV handle is a good comprimise since you can totallly break apart and field strip that to clean the insides.

I have no problem with the E3 handle, as it would keep cost down and increase the likelyhood of the H-1 Spyderhawk seeing daylight. I'm thinking that the E4 handle, while more sophisticated and ergonomic, would add a lot of cost to the project mainly due to making the nested liners rustproof. I'm thinking that making the E4 clip out of titanium would add some more cost as well.

That said, I plan on buying it regardless of the handle used.

The Civilian while very nice, probably isn't suited to my needs...and the Tasman is just a little too small (for my needs that is..I'm sure it's perfect for many)..and there aren't any NIB Spyderhawks around, so:

I'll buy one!...Where can I put some money down?

I'll take one of each.
Of course, now the question is ...when?
I would like to have my plain-edged one in black FRN though. :o
