Ha, awesome!! I will look for beer that here.

@ z1r: Almost perfect German, congrats! :) (100% correct would be: "Es muss doch ein dunkles sein")

Anyway, they do have dunkles Bier = dark beer too ;)

Stiegl ("the" Salzburg beer) is actually a very old brewery: First mentioned in written record when Columbus arrived in America (1492) - see here https://www.stiegl.at/en/privatbrauerei ... node-10060

@ MSea: I happen to know a lady who works in the export department of Stiegl - she told me that they do export to the US, so you should be able to get it ;)
Top three going by pocket-time (update March 24):
- EDC: Endura thin red line ffg combo edge (VG10); Wayne Goddard PE (4V), Endela SE (VG10)
-Mountains/outdoors: Pac.Salt 1 SE (H1), Salt 2 SE (LC200N), and also Wayne Goddard PE (4V)

I have to go up to the mainland in Miami this week and will look up there. I am always up for a good new beer, thank you for the heads up.

Along with with the Salt Dragonfly 2 SE, this little Chap LW is one of my favorite smaller folders. Its an excellent knife.

Today's pair. The Chief is an outstanding design. I rarely care for folders this large but the Chief will see plenty of pocket time. Slim and trim for its size.

First time I wished I had a lefty knife... :p

Took a pretty bad fall yesterday, and besides some nice bruises and cuts on arms and legs I dislocated my index finger and thumb. Managed to snap them into place again, but the thumb keeps popping out and its base is blue and three times thicker than it should be...

So I taped it tightly to my hand... no righty thumb flicking at the moment... :p

Sorry to hear, Wartstein! I hope you recover quickly and completely!

Dang Warty, that's a bummer. Be thankful it sounds like it could have been more serious. Hope you heal up quick!

Get well soon! I hope that, in addition to those "home repairs", you went to see a doctor. Often injuries that do not heal well from the beginning become chronic. And better to be cautious than to take that risk ...

Thanks to all of you my friends, I am actually almost a bit moved how caring this community really is! :)

But I have to say again: I am perfectly fine, this is really nothing. I generally have some minor bruises more often than not, and only shared this as a background story to my todays knife pic (I like to give a bit of background and context in this thread generally)
So no worries,, but THANKS again! :)

@Spydergirl: I made two quick vids: One handed opening and one handed closing without using the thumb at all (I ask for indulgence, these are each the first tries and what I spontanously came up with when starting fo film ;) )

I hope this small problem is not difficult.
You will write for now and open the knives with your left hand. Time to learn something new!

Had to.. :o
With this "thumbless" opening "method" the knife ends up in a reverse grip - without thumb a little throw is the most convenient way to transfer it to a regular grip..
Perhaps I´ll figure out something better - this was just what I did instinctively when trying to open the Endura "thumbless" for the first time... ;)
