We were told that Hitachi was going to phase it out, but I see some makers are still able to get it. Don't know if it's old stock or what. We've got an order in for Caly 3.5 in ZDP laminate that has been accepted. ???

I think that's the standard steel for the 3.5

Sal just mentioned on this thread about larger straight spine Stretch

viewtopic.php?f=2&t=90809&start=20

Quoting Sal below:

Then I again lengthened the size to a 4.0" blade with a Straight Spine which we are currently tooling up for a FRN version.

And further down in Sals post

We'll probably make a few in different steels.

The Stretch XL has been in development and talked about for nearly 2 years on the forum, but it's cool to know that it is coming soon and that we will get multiple steels!

Can't wait for the K390 or Salt Stretch XL!!

Steel came in. Working on a Mule Team run.

The plan is for 2,000 pieces.

I just OK'd the Leaf Jumper sample. Should we go another run with either, the Rock or Leaf Jumper, the blades will be lengthened a bit.

From the Mule Team Discussion forum - Poll: should mule purchases be limited to just one?

We also have a "production Mule Team" in the works that we'll keep in stock all of the time. Same handle, slightly different spine (a bit more straight) to easily tell the difference, but same handle shape and will fit the same sheaths.

SPY27 good grief. My 2022 list is getting longer. I really like SPY27. Well to keep it conservative, I think most of my 2022 wish list items are potential up and coming models/iterations, so we may not see all of them by 2022.

I think Sal hinted at a serrated mule too. Probably the production Spy27 version

Spy27 costs too much considering it performs basically exactly like s35vn, except maybe with a bit less corrosion resistance, especially considering that s35vn is starting to be found pretty commonly at a relatively budget price. Very not excited for it to be the steel for a production mule.
