I haven't used this option yet for a Spyderco knife, but was able to acquire the newly-released (and grossly-overpriced at $450) Benchmade 710-25 for $300 shipped..

I'm not sure how low Eric is willing to price all these models, but I've gotten some seriously good deals from him in the past and I like that he's trying out this new "make offer" option.. I'm guessing reasonable offers of 15-25% off MAP would be entertained on Spyderco models..

Thank you for sharing this! I've never even heard of a "make your offer" promotion! I felt like I got an amazing deal on a Sage 5 Salt! I've wanted to try the Sage 5 and Magnacut for a while, and now I get both! Thank you!

That Sage5 in Rex121 was super tempting, but not after reading a bit more about DACK. I guess they're what's known as a "drop shipper" which basically means they don't even have any control over their own inventory. They place the order for your item when they get your order, and if it goes out of stock between then, well tough luck. Aside from the huge delays in shipping, they'll also charge a cancellation fee.

Sounds way too shady to me.

On the other hand, they offer sezzle and evidently that spaces payments out into six week intervals. I have only ever seen vendors offer 2 weeks. Anyone know of any others that offer 6 week installments?

It's definitely something to be aware of. Each should make up their own mind of course, but be informed with accurate data. I'm now past 10 Weeks since I ordered and have not received my order...
I wont be recommending them (Dack) to anyone, based on my experience.

Obviously there is a problem with your order. I’ve had good luck with them so far. I got the Rex 121 g-10 recently. 5 weeks. At the 4 week mark, I send them an email. They even delivered my Stretch 2 XL H1 salt when they made a mistake and priced it for $75.00.

hmm, had two other spydie purchases in mind for this weekend, but at $109 I'm tempted to give the LW Chief one more chance and order a salt.

Dack quotes 1 month, but I had one order go 2 months, and another is just a couple days shy of 2 months. I emailed them about the 2nd order, saying all items are currently in stock, and that another order I placed after the delayed order had already shipped, so I thought maybe the delayed order was missed somehow. They replied the order would ship soon (but it has not), and they further said if I sent another email then I would go to the end of the line - this is NOT how you attract and retain customers. They are ok if all you care about is prices, but customer service sucks! BTW, they have no customer support by phone.

If something like that happened with me, I would gladly go to the end of the line. And, then, "now that I'm at the end of the line, cancel my order."

I had a similar issue with a non-knife supplier long ago. They were using the pre-pay as float or to phrase it differently, an interest free loan. Once they got enough additional payments, then the earlier 'loans' were paid with the ordered merchandise. Not long after being called on the behavior, they went out of business. As mentioned above, that is NOT the way to do business. As attractive as the prices may be, this is enough cause for me to not to shop Dack. I would rather pay a little more to support a reputable business.
