Haven´t seen one here for quite some time - such a great knife! :)

But this can´t actually be a patina on the (VG10) blade?!

Just put a polished convex edge on this beast. All but silent going through newsprint

I forgot how nice those scales looked when still relatively new, the pattern is more noticeable compared to mine these days. I like both looks, but love that polished edge, looks great!

I started off carrying the K390 Endela. Then, I switched to the new Factory Second Maxamet PM 2.

Lol - I think I must have dry hands or something, because my micarta never seems to get as dark as yours! Of course I don't use mine all day for work, but I carry it outdoors quite a bit.

I really like the size of the Endela. I have several Delicas, and one Endura but couldn't really warm up to carrying the larger Endura. (There is a blade length restriction where I work, and the Endura is over the limit.) That makes the Endela a goldielocks size; right between the Delica and Endura. I really like a knife with a blade in the 3"-3.5" (~7.6-8.9 cm) range.

The K390 steel sharpens up like a razor, too.
