Man, you know if I could have been there... There'll be more shows to come where we'll meet up again, for sure.

That's exactly what I thought. Not a fan of this one at all.

Thanks again, Wouter for all of your hard work. You really provide a great service to all of us Spydernuts that cannot make the Amsterdam Meet.

Well, I went from thinking that I would not have a single Spyderco purchase this year to having at least two now planned. You're good Sal. Seriously. :D

My thoughts exactly. I'd even raise the ante and go linerless :D
Anyway I'm glad to see the Lava resuscitated, because it's such a great design.
And boy, do I love that humpless Kiwi...

The Domino looks awesome - looks even better than the Domino in the video.
Is the blade now longer than when the video was taken?
Thanks again,
Pat
It's the same proto, the blade seeming longer is an effect of photographing it at an angle. I included the spyderco bead in each pic to show relative size between all knives, and we took measurement this year (thank you Joyce!).

Thanks for the kind words guys, but moreover, thanks for looking. I love making these pictures and posting them, I'm sure any Spyderknut would. Always nice to see they're being appreciated.

More importantly, thanks to Sal and Eric for giving us a peek at the upcoming knives and the stories behind them, and of course thanks to Jur and Ted for putting the meet together as a flawlessly organized event!

And a very important part for me being able to take these pictures was played by Gail and Joyce who made sure all the protos went by my 'photobooth' after they passed through the hands of 80 knifeknuts, thanks so much.

Wouter,

Thank you for the detailed pics, most appreciated.

Did you get a feel for the weight of the Serrata?

I really like the look of the Battle Station. Did they give any hints as to when it'll be available?
Thanks for the wonderful pictures!

I like the design of the Mike Draper...a lot! But I have to agree, the design looks very cheap. Also...I think that it needs a lefty clip!

And Wouter, you always take such great pics, I certainly appreciate all the hard work you do!

Phew, tough one. From memory I'd reckon it was somewhere between the weight of the Temperance 1 FB and the Temperance 2. It certainly seemed lighter than the Temperance 2

Oh no, no thanks necessary. My wife understands my obsession and in fact picked me up from the A'dam Meet with my girls - also to say hi to the Spydercrew. Back in '05, it was in fact my wife who suggested we stopped in Golden for our honeymoon.

I like the overall shape/design very much...restrained and elegant. But the scales gotta go. As it is, to me the knife resembles an elegant woman wearing a cheap hooker outfit. If the scales were CF, micarta, or G10, I'd buy it. As it is, I'll pass.
