Dude that’s an s30v blade. I’ll take it. I miss s30v. A very good steel. And half and half. That’s even more awesome. Seriously I hope the combo edge I ordered is s30v.

You haven’t read all my posts. I was able to get 4 separate purchases through. Spyderco admits it needs to get better. I have said that the seconds are at awesome prices. That’s the reason I spent so much of my day trying to purchase some. I like Spyderco knives I have over 30. Only a few of the $150 boxes have been delivered so we will see. In my opinion the early results are that Spyderco is not delivering what they said “ultra desirable limited edition knives” with a seconds sale cost of $150. Ultra desirable absolutely some of them are. In my opinion some aren’t. A lil native? A warncliff pm2 sure. The biggest deal to me is they are taking the price tag off and not putting $150 worth of knives in the box. Did you buy any? What’s your opinion?

Hi, I just opened up my large mystery box and it contained a StNick's Native Chief in 4v, a Shaman in 15v, and a Polestar in BD1n. I am delighted! Thanks Spyderco!

So....I went out to dinner with friends tonight and received notice that I had two packages from Spyderco waiting for me when I got home. I've opened and inspected....

1. Paramilitary 2 15V Sprint
1. Yojimbo DLC
1. Centofante 3

Not sure but I think the PM2 and Yojimbo were seconds because they had a little mark on the blade but IDK. I wouldn't have complained if I paid full price and they didn't have the notch. They're otherwise in perfect condition. Blades are centered (no warpage, etc) scales are fine. Nothing actually wrong with any of them. The 15V PM2 has a better action than most of the PM2s I've had. Not pivot adjustment necessary with this one

I now have 7 factory second knives and no real issues with any of them. I've seen some people post that we're buying second rate knives. Maybe so in some cases but with all mine the only reason they're second rate is because there's a notch in the blade. Otherwise they're as good or better than any of the 100+ "firsts" I have and I paid considerably less for each one. I appreciate these online seconds sales and will gladly participate in another one even if I had to work at it again like I did this year

Oh....and I can't believe I waited this long to try a Centofante 3. For $32 that knife was a bargain

Hey Rick, you don't have to react to the negative posts that triggers you. Pretty sure all the hubbub will die down soon as it always have in the past, just give it a few days. Just let the folks vent some steam - even Kristi allows them too. The facebook groups and instagram posts have it a thousand times worse compared to here.

Wow, that's amazing! Sure hit the jackpot over there. That's another reason also I didn't go for any mystery box, I wouldn't be able to enjoy right-only liner locks like the Millie.

My 3 Knife Mystery box was identical to the one posted up already.
-Shaman 15V
-Native Chief 4v Saint Nicks
-Alcyone grey china

My 2 knife Mystery box was:
-PM2 teal S90v
-Manix 2 FRCP black blade black handle screw construction CTS BD1N

The winner is the 3 box. I don't know what to put the shaman at exactly but figure between $105-130, the Chief somewhere around $113-130 like the kM390s were. The Alcyone I'll just call it $32 to be generous given the centofante was that much with a higher msrp. That is roughly ~$250-292 range in value.

The two box I figure the S90V to be nearly equivalent to S110V and they listed those at $74 while the Manix was up for sale and listed at $42. That comes in at ~$116.

It was a fun option but not being an "amazing" value makes it tough since your not making the decision or balancing the attributes you feel are important. If there was so much value in the box that it overcame that lack of choice then great but these didn't quite accomplish that for me.

I'll definitely stay tuned to see what others got.

I would be happy to get that box- two of my favorite models and I have other Yo2 scales just sitting around.

We need a place somewhere we could buy/sell/trade from the boxes. I know I would be interested in a lil native, dlc Cruwear native, shaman, yojimbo, etc at the right price for seconds from the boxes people don’t want/need. I am sure I am not the only one and people would want to trade box items.

Also on another note when Spyderco opens its new bigger warehouse just think of all the more seconds… just saying.

Is this correct? Did St. Nicks actually do a Zome Delica? The pic doesn't look like red and black. If so, I'm not sure how I missed this. I have all the SNK exclusives but I'm not sure I would bought that one anyway

2 knife Mystery box contained a
PITS Sprint Run, actually a really nice knife. My first foreign made Spyderco. I pretty much just collect knifes made in America but as I said it's really nice.
Second knife is some sort of Byrd knife. No clue as I don't collect Chinese crap regardless of what company name is associated with it. If someone here has some info on this one, could you please inform me on it.

Absolutely did not mean to start anything. Just saying in this case with unknown knives being received there is probably a need.

Wow. Wishing I was able to grab one of those 3 knife mystery boxes, people are getting some nice hauls in those. Happy I was able to grab one of the 2 knife boxes at least, still waiting on the UPS guy. Hoping for one of the Cruwear Yojimbos or the XHP PM2 wharnie.

I managed to grab one of the Paysans. I'm super excited b/c it's a knife I've wanted for a long time but it's generally out of my price range. I'll add pictures once delivered. I also grabbed a bd1n Manix lw for $37 because why not :)
