I’m still looking for one of these. Are they sold out everywhere now?
I have pretty much the worst timing on trying to get one of these - to the point that I've mostly given up on this model. I'm always a few minutes late...
Soonerstateknives still shows in stock.
They are out of stock. Gone to flippers like the others. Plenty marked up on the ‘bay of course.
Thanks.
I am curious, though, how do you know that?
Their antiquated order processing system still shows in stock and it can still be added to cart and checked out.

Got mine today. I can unlock this one way easier than previous manix2 ive had. Super sharp. Love the g10 color.
Nice! I think properly finished (which of course Spyderco does) Rex45 is one of the best looking steels ever, especially in the sunlight, it's just beautiful IMO.

I've had 4 Rex45 blades over the past couple years, amazes me how stupid sharp each one was when it arrived. When I did my scale swap I had to put tape over the edge because I was afraid I might cut myself when I was wiggling/prying the scales off the lanyard.
KSF had one in stock last night! I thought they were out everywhere, but I checked out and received shipping confirmation! Looking forward to having a Manix around again! Especially this one! REX45 and burnt orange is a great combo!

I’ll 2nd the sharpness on these. I’m almost afraid to flick it open.
Dang SG, you posting that just made me realize...I was so pumped to do that scale swap that I never took a pic of it in it's original form, even for my own photos!
OMG! The irony of photographing your beautiful Manix 2 next to that rice lager beer is mind-bending. I hope you didn't have to buy a six pack to get the shot. That would be quite the sacrifice.
But your point of the dearth of photos of REX 45 Manix 2's in the wild is well taken. I'll try to take the time tomorrow to take some photos. Rest assured, NONE will include American Pilsner.

Bud light uses rice, not miller lite. In any event, sometimes I like to slum it a little with miller lite. If you look at my beer-can posting history you will see better varieties... Hopefully they are acceptable to you?
:)
Silly me. I stand corrected on Miller's grain bill.
I just reviewed ALL my photo albums that include beer and knives, and there is only ONE image that includes both. It's a Manix 2, but not REX 45. The steel should be easy to ID, but the beer? Maybe not...

All the mass produced beers use some adjuncts. If it isn’t rice then it is corn syrup. They need cheap carbs and those are the two popular choices. Any finger pointing about who uses what adjuncts is just smoke and mirrors. They all are barely brewing beer.
That said, I drink some yellow beer from time to time. Usually Labatt’s Blue though. Is Canadian Pilsner OK? We also have some good craft breweries brewing real pilsners in the US without adjuncts. I have been known to pound some Von Trapp Pilsner in the summer. Would that be acceptable?

Also, do you think a kangaroo would eat a bowl of spagetti with sauce if someone offered it to them?
