designed by...aaa...hey Alex...designer? :D is the nicest piece presented, I hope Spyderco will upgrade the steel at some point but I'm interested in the S30V version anyway

I remember in the previous years Spydercollector also showed short videos for each prototype, a short presentation, opening and closing them, is this going to happen for these year's prototypes?

Even a little upgrade to XHP on the "Redback" would be nice. But then again I don't have anything in 204P...... Ahhh, we're all spoiled!

Definitely want the standard clipittool. Perfect knife for tailgating/BBQ/picnic. Too bad the standard doesn’t give you option of serrations but I’ll live.

Also intrigued with the Techno 2, mantra 3 and the zoomer. Will prob end up with 2 of the 3 depending on prices/release dates

Thanks for the pictures! I love seeing the knives that come out of the meet each year. This is always an exciting thread to follow.

RWL34 or CPM154 would be great, inline with his custom versions and already used in Taiwan production (Lil Nilakka & Darn Dao). S30V is no slouch but variety is the spice of life and all that. :)

I had to do a little reading on RWL34 and CPM154. It sounds like good stuff, I'd love to give it a try.

Video - Various Production Samples from the Spyderco Amsterdam Meet 2018

A little dessert from the Spyderco Amsterdam Meet 2018! Just before the meet started, I had the opportunity to take a few close-up videos of some of the knives I had photographed for my other posts. I figure these clips will offer a better impression of the knives' sizes and how they fit the hand. The labels with numbers on the blades help attendees give feedback on these designs, on special cards that were collected at the end of the meet.

https://youtu.be/usyppVc2aQs

Please note, these are all production samples and I have no information on prices or availability.

This video includes, from start to finish:
1) Paysan, Peter Rassenti design
2) Brouwer, Jerry Brouwer design
3) Respect, Spyderco design
4) Nati Amor, Nati Amor design
5) Lil' Native Backlock, Spyderco design
6) Mantra 3, Spyderco design
7) Amalgam, Brian Lai design
8) Reinhold Rhino, Michael Reinhold design
9) Zoomer, Thomas Zoomer design
10) Parata, Paul Alexander design
11) Hanan,Brad Southard design
12) Techno 2, Marcin Slysz design

Thanks for watching!

Thanx again Wouter.
Btw, I LOVE the Sabotage. Does anyone know what blade steel it will have?

I'd like a k390 blade Steel for the sabotage.....a very good piece of steel.

I was kinda thinking the same thing.
I was thinking 10V to be exact.
Although, I sure wouldn't mind CTS-204P either...
