Those numbers were captured by Wouter and appear on his site (and under the photos of his post here).

As for blade thickness, Brad said (on Instagram I think) that he doesn't remember the exact numbers but he wants to say the stock appears to be ~0.115" (<1/8th").

Oh man, if that Southard ion had CTS-204p, it'd be like the perfect knife! I'd even take CTS-XHP, because although similar to S30V.....pretty much all my knives are S30V lol.

Love the look of the Ion, everything about it is perfect except I'm not a huge S30V fan. That and I think the lockbar release could pose an issue comfort wise.

I've always loved the Chinese models, I have three. I don't think I'll get this one, as I promised myself I'd never get another G Shaki liner lock. (pivot area issies)

The GB 2 and Ion both look incredibly tempting.

I would second the thought of CRS-XHP on the ion but 30v works too.

I'm sure he was referring to the Lum. It is based on traditional Chinese folders.

+1 I agree with what you are saying on both models. Yes, cranberry or maroon scales would be sweet on the Little Lum.

You know I feel a little silly for not putting a single one of these knives in my pocket to test out how they sat. Obviously there are a few reasons for this: always sitting in rows of small chairs, not wanting anyone to suspect the knife would never return, time constraint, etc. Either way, it seems like an oversight, since obviously Wouter is unable to take an "in pocket" photo in addition to all the others, and I really can't answer this question even though I got to handle the knife.

Silly me! You're right, for some reason I read "Chinese models" as country of origin (Tenacious, Persistence, etc) rather than the model name. Oops! :o

Finally we got a look at the production prototype of the Lil’ Temperance 2! I’m a big fan of the design and I think we got a look at a very early concept model during the very first Amsterdam Meet. I’ll admit the Lil’ Temperance 2 took a little getting used to, for me. The handle was black and not green, symmetrical flat and not the sculpted G-10 of the first Lil’ Temp, and the clip didn’t have the three holes that line up with the divots in the handle. However, gripping the knife felt very familiar. The Lil’ Temp 2 had pretty much the same feel as my beloved green Lil’ Temps. I might even prefer this symmetrical handle to the original design. The jimping on the ramp of the blade seemed like a very nice touch as well. Furthermore, this version is much more lefty-friendly with a four-way clip mounting option. The blade on the Lil’ Temp 2 seemed to curve down more than the original Lil’ Temp. I’d have to do a side-by-side comparison to be sure though. The compression lock on this sample had a very good self-close. I loved the Lil’ Temperance 2, this one’s going on the wishlist for sure!

A simple but solid design. Hopefully this one answers the call for a shorter comp lock model that get's requested every so often. In my notes I have "high quality persistence" and I think I still agree with that estimation when seeing it again in photos.

Awesome! I've been waiting for this, and bothering Sal about it for a while! Does production prototype mean that it's going to be released, but there's no set date? And will changes be made to any of these models? Besides obvious production refinements.

I’ll admit I stopped mid-sentence when I saw the Mamba for the first time. This is, to me, a very impressive bold design. I’m not sure if I have a specific cutting task for the Mamba, but I don’t care. I will own one! This was a big bold folder. The flipper barely needed a push to let the blade just fly out. The Mamba’s blade features satin finished flats and the hollow grinds were coated in TiCN if I recall correctly. This bladefinish refers to the fact that Walter Brend is famous for his polished blades. Since such a polish could not be achieved in production, the choice was made to coat the hollow grinds. The handle consists of a hefty titanium frame covered with full carbon fiber handle scales. The knife really locks in the hand, in every edge-out grip. The knife felt surprisingly light and well-balanced. It certainly was a fist full of blade. Simply awesome.

That Brend really looks like a Pirela Design.

The Lil Temp 2 sure looks like a mini tank. I think I like it, but the handle shape redesign does throw me off a bit.
