I think that means knifeworks sent you old stock.

Could always disassemble it and check the date on the blade.

First, he should check on the date code on the box, although a date on the blade obviously indicates the date of the blade's manufacture (though not necessarily the date on which the knife was assembled).

Date code is CN, March 2014 I believe. Whenever it was made, I do prefer the rounded handles.

I should qualify that about the tracking number. I didn't get an email from KW but I logged onto my account and saw the tracking number on my order history.

It means they've generated a label, which usually happens either the day they ship or the day before. The USPS website updates pretty slowly, but it will eventually show you when it's been accepted at a USPS facility and give you the rest of the tracking/expected delivery date information.

Glad you guys didn't have to wait too long. I must have been one of the last to get in on the first round. It's an awesome steel, all around worry free.

Got my new Para CTS 204P today, razor sharp, I like the colour in person and a great match for my green Manix2 in CTS XHP. Just needs a little tweak on the blae centering and it should be good to go.

Yikes!!!! I have some work to do...

I got a couple like that in February. Have only fiddled with one of them, and haven't gotten any traction on the centering issue yet. :( Hope you have better luck.

Got mine today as well. I always sharpen new knives right away, but still I wanted to mention this is the prettiest edge I've received on any knife outside of a CRK (just because they do a really nice polish job on them). Overall the f&f is very nice.

Adjusted the Para and fixed the centerings in about 90 seconds.

Nice work. My green para came a hair off center and super tight, but just a little tweek on the pivot and she's good as gold.
