Firstly, I don't remember greeting
bohica1998. So, welcome to Spydieville!
JD Spydo wrote:SimpleisGood I see your points coming from both directions :) . However I'm a firm believer in seting your goals high. In other words shoot for the stars and if you only make it to the moon you've still accomplished a great deal of what you set out to do. And keep in mind it's good to let them know what we like in a knife.
I agree, JD. I am only looking at what, in my view, is most realistic. However, a plain H-1 Spyderhawk with jimping would, for me, be hitting the stars! :D
With that said I think it's only healthy from a marketing, consumer driven set of customer desires to let the man at the top know just how much you appreciate all those great features in a knife. I think this thread is sending a great message that's being listened to.
I was quite pleased to see the most recent post in the General Discussion being in this thread, belonging to Sal.
No matter what we end up getting you can be totally assured that if Spyderco makes the knife it will be a premium blade. It might not fulfill everyone's dream of what they would want in a top notch Hawkbill but it will be a huge leap just getting an H-1 Spyderhawk.
I completely agree.
Personally I'm hoping for a super-functional working Hawkbill. In my job I could use a Hawkbill of that caliber. Let's don't give up too soon now :) .
Oh trust me, I am as pumped as
ever!
Because I am seeing more and more new blade users discover just how much you can do with a premium Hawkbill. I've got 2 guys where I work who now want me to get them a Harpy. Progress is slow but it is going in our direction.
Excellent. I think this thread is clear evidence of that.
